Target Stores about to go a "Wii" bit crazy

Gadget nuts and game-playing seekers are about to be in a complete tizzy with the new Nintendo Wii and Sony Playstation 3 game consoles about to be released. And just in time for the Holiday shopping season, too. While it may be hard to stuff that PS3 package into a stocking, surely one can wrap it up for placement under a tree somewhere, right?

The Nintendo Wii -- the game console with the funny name -- will be launched officially on November 19th across the country. Wii addicts -- odd since the console isn't even being sold yet -- can now locate the actual allocation of Wii game consoles in nationwide Target Corporation (NYSE:TGT) stores with Wiiseeker, a website that will use Google Maps to track down -- hopefully -- the exact number of game consoles that will be at each Target store upon launch.

With the website stating that each Target store will have between 24 and 40 consoles each, my bet is that Target will have some massive promotions in the coming weeks. Also look for various custom bundles to up the selling price of each console. Hey, it's holiday shopping season, right? Target's results should be stellar this quarter anyway, along with most other retailers that are geared up for credit card craziness that's about to be unleashed. That almost sounds like a new Wii game tagline right there, yes?
