Google BlogSearch leads the pack

According to new data from Hitwise, Google Blogsearch had more visitors last week than Technorati, the leader in the blog-searching sphere. Google's decision to link to the blogsearch page from Google's main page was obviously a clever one.

Since then, Blogsearch's market-share has risen from 0.001% to its present 25%. I don't even wanna try to break down how much of a leap that is. Okay, yes I do. It's a 25,000 fold increase, which is a 2,500,000% increase. Now if only Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) stock would go up that much...

For everyone who said Google could not do this, they proved they could. Next year, Microsoft Windows and Office could suffer the same fate as the world of applications moves online with solid offline support with Google's purchase of Zoho.com and/or thinkfree.com to finish its office sweep.
