Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (NYSE:AMD) was downgraded by several bulge bracket firms after its earnings warning: cut to Underweight at Morgan Stanley, cut to Peer Perform at Bear Stearns, cut to Underweight at Prudential, cut to Hold at Citigroup. Stock trading down 9%.

Blockbuster (NYSE:BBI) and Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX) were both cut to Neutral at JPMorgan.

Anheuser-Busch (NYSE:BUD) was raised to Buy at B of A.

Checkpoint Software (NASDAQ:CHKP) was raised to Outperform at RBC.

Fannie Mae (NYSE:FNM) & Freddie Mac (NYSE:FRE) were both started as Market Perform ratings at Keefe, Bruyette, and Woods.

Nuveen (JNC) was cut to Neutral at Merrill Lynch.

KLA-Tencor (KLAC) was reiterated as Buy at Citigroup and noted as one of its single best ideas for 2007.

SAP (NYSE:SAP) faced several downgrades after its warning yesterday: cut to Neutral at Goldman Sachs, cut to Underperform at JPMorgan, cut to Sector Perform at CIBC, cut to Hold at Jefferies. Oracle (NASDAQ:ORCL) was also cut to Sector Perform at CIBC after SAP numbers.

Sun Micro (SUNW) was cut to Equal Weight at Morgan Stanley.
