American Idol fans strike back at Howard Stern

you idol guys need 2 get a life really quick & quit being sheep's. do u not realize that american idol is a farce. you should be pissed at them their voting rules is the thing that needs to change. you should not be able to vote hundreds of times from the same phone number. also you idol fans need to realize YOUR VOTE DOESN'T COUNT THE PRODUCERS ARE THE ONES WHO PICK WHO GETS VOTED OFF!!!!! the only reason that no talent kid is still on there is because of FREE PUBLICITY!!!! and you people need to learn from what howard has figured out from the past NEGATIVE PUBLICITY is THE BEST PUBLICITY!!!! you should thank stern for his contribution to the promotion to your crappy show because there is absolutely NO TALENT on that show!!!

Sometimes Howard is funny, sometimes he's not.
I don't listen to him anymore, I don't see the need to pay for radio, I think it's bad enough that I now pay for TV. I just don't miss him THAT much.

Those that can sing and entertain will be approached with contracts by some record label or another. I'm sure AI is bringing in enough money to support ANY losses that are incurred by ANY winner that gets voted in, if that winners' music doesn't sell. I would think they have thought ahead and would have some sort of side agents who're employed to pick up the contracts and run it through an alternate company label, which they still own. At least that would be a smart thing to do.

I don't think it matters, one way or the other, how anyone is voting anymore. I think they are STILL given a chance, due to all the exposure received. Have enough talent and the deals will come through, no matter who wins the final AI award. These AI winners are only guaranteed so much and for so long. Probably the AI ice cream, all by itself, pays for any losses.

I think it started off as a good idea, to find talent. No matter what it's morfed into, I think they're still finding talent AND making a bundle.

I also don't think all of America has to worry about a reputation for sites who tell you to vote for the Worst Idol. IT'S A TV SHOW, there are no age restrictions on voting, there are no clauses for mental instability, no way to track one vote per person, no way to deter pranksters and there sure isn't any way to rule out the tone deaf and those who don't have rhythm. Then again, why would they care about the tone deaf and those who have no rhythm if the person is still able to sell the music.

And really people, who cares if the rest of the world thinks America has no rhythm and are tone deaf. American is made up mostly of immigrants and lacking those two things is NOT something they got just because people CAME to America. I can just see new check list to get into America now, "Do you pull pranks? Are you tone deaf? Do you have rhythm? Will you be voting on AI?"

I don't understand the media, 1st they say Howard is un important since going to Sirius radio, then they say he's rigging american idol.

All the people that complain about Howard can't afford the $12.95. Let alone Howard TV.

This is what happens when you attempt to give any power to the people. They screw it up. American Idol is a mass social experiment that is failing miserably and shows our government that we are all nothing but stupid sheep that need to be controlled because we cannot control ourselves.

How anyone can watch Howard Stern for more than 2 minutes and not be bored to tears is beyond me. I guess there are people who actually like fruit cake to. From my perspective it doesn't hurt the show. The really good performers are showcased and provide entertainment to the viewers and will be picked up by the industry. So what if one mediocre talent slips through. If people don't make an issue out of this even Stern and his retarded followers will disappear. These babies don't like to be ignored and like I said Stern is even becoming boring to the retards so there looking for something else. With a collective IQ of......maybe 3...ok I'll give you 9, this is the best they can "come up with". IGNORE THEM, they don't make a difference. I think Sanjaya is also aided greatly by the Indian population as well as the very young teenyboppers who have cell phones and are gaga over him.

American Idol sucks. It is a mockery of a tanlent contest. I hope it gets ruined and all you cry babies get whats comming to you.

Howard Stern has the mentality of a vandal. Trying to ruin something that many people enjoy - for what? If you don't like this show, or you think it is rigged, try one of the hundreds of other channels available, or turn off your TV. I personally have no use for Howard's show - I don't listen and didn't wotch when it was on TV. That solved my problem quite effectively without trying to sabotage a show that many people DO like. So Stern fans - enjoy Stern and let others enjoy what they like - don't act like adolescent idiots please.

I was a former fan of Stern's but finally wised up and realized that Stern is the only one who wins wether by peddeling his mediocre bullshit that braindead fans flock out to buy or on a daily basis with his old played out satellite show. Noone should know better than him how lucky he is to have had the opportunity to become famous like he did and make millions by pushing shock format radio. I admit that American idol may be a little corny but for these very talented performers it is the only very big opportunity that they would ever have to get some recognition which could lead them into legitimate stardom. Shame on you Howard

The best way to make Mr Stern aware of your dislike for his attempts to ruin American Idol is to boycott Sirius, and tell your friends and their friends to boycott Sirius. By doing so Sirius will eventually end up in bankruptcy court and hopefully emerge from that court restructured without Mr Stern's show as part of it's programming. I have taken that action and I encourage other's to do the same. Enough of Mr Stern and his nonsense !
