Those scamps from Vote for the Worst are stirring up the pot at "American Idol" again.
First, the snarky Web site through its support to Sanjaya Malakar, perhaps the weirdest finalist in the News Corp. (NYSE: NWS) show's history. Now, beat box virtuoso Blake Lewis has gotten the site's backing.
'The judges make no sense when they love Blake's beat boxing one week and hate it the next," the site says. "Because of all this, VFTW is supporting Blake Lewis, the only semi-entertaining person left on the show. He's also the least consistent, so he could possibly throw in a little unpredictability."
Unlike Malakar. Lewis deserves to be on the "American Idol." He has a nice voice and his version of Bon Jovi's "You Give Love a Bad Name" -- beat boxing and all -- was one of the most original performances ever on the program. Sometimes, though, the beat boxing gets annoying.
Lewis doesn't deserve to win. Melinda Dolittle does. She is the best singer that's ever been on American Idol. Unfortunately, she has the charisma of guacamole.
Jordin Sparks is the next American Idol.
She's young, got a great voice and someone who can be packaged into a pop star in the Hillary Duff mold fairly easily. Sparks is an exceptional singer as well, especially for someone her age. Let's hope that her album outsells the debut from Sanjaya Malakar.

I don't understand this article. How is VFTW "again" messing with American Idol? They've been doing that continuously since Sanjayas departure with Phil Stacey and LaKisha Jones.

This article makes no sense. VFTW backed Antonella Barba and Sundance Head. When they were voted off, they switched to Sanjaya etc. If Sanjaya couldn't sing then why was he in the top 24? The Judges put him there. He was in the top 12 before VFTW. Why did Tony Bennett, JLo etc praise his singing? The writer obviously doesn't know what he is talking about. Sanjaya is a good singer and supported by fans. He is a better singer than Jordin, Blake (who are not that great) and Melinda (who is a professional singer). Sanjaya is a better singer than the author is a reporter!

They're all on the same level, they are all in the same boat. Nobody is actually "better" than anyone else. They can ALL sing exceptionally well and are entertaining enough.
But the most entertaining is: Sanjaya!
But a southerner will win yet again: Doolittle!

The last two years have been more about popularity then singing ability. Even though I like Taylor and thought his voice was well set to sing bluish style songs I believe the radio stations are doing more to promote his disappearance then his popularity.
I think Blake should win this year, it isn't going to happen but his voice is much more suited to the pop 40 charts then the pitchy sometimes screechy Jordin.
