Today's Democratic Party is not the Democratic Party as your grandfather knew it. If you think that the Democrats are all about working peoples' needs and how best to serve them, you may wish to think again. The days when the powerful labor unions were backed by legislation-wielding hot-dogs who were ready to step into the gap to protect the working class in wages, safety, and working conditions have faded away. In fact, I'm of the mind that the decline actually began way back with the disappearance of Jimmy Hoffa and the slow ugly death of that empire once known as the American steel industry.
Fast forward to NAFTA and GATT, and you'll find two of the most damaging pieces of paperwork that the American economy has ever endured. Do I need to mention the one name most closely associated with both of those documents from the American side? I'll give you a hint, his ex is now looking to plant her feisty butt in the oval office.
Take a look, if you dare, at the link I have provided. It's an article called "Dems Sell Out on Trade" and surprisingly enough it's written from a slightly Democratic perspective. Read it, digest it, and then look at the past three decades in light of it. No, today's Democratic Party is not the Democratic Party that your grandpa supported. The new breed means business . . . in a stinkingly non-American, global sense.

Voting for a party is more complex than a couple trade issues. It's time to get rid of the Neo Cons who masquerade as people who want to help our country, but instead have turned the whole world against us, filled our government with liars and cheats (not simple adulterers) and are continuing to kill and cripple our soldiers for nothing more than protecting oil interests. I'm going for the Audacity of Hope and voting for an excellent present and future. I'm tired of the Republican's simplistic "1984 speak" about fearing evil terrorists all the time. 9/11 was horrific, but it will be interesting to see how it was allowed to happen when and if the truth ever comes out. Now, you're more likely to get in a car accident than by a terrorist. Stop funding the war maching and start funding alternative energy. Vote for the funding of the science of life, not death. It's easy to kill people, it's much more challenging to educate them, heal them and make them comfortable. Ask not what your country wants you to be afraid of, but ask what you can do to help your country prosper and earn the respect of the world. Do what you love and the money will follow.

Interesting--people who have opposed the present administration have sought to point "Commie" fingers at Democrats. WHY? It's NeoCONS who have silently watched this filthy vile administration open trade doors to Communist China. If anyone can be said to be Commie-lovers, it's Bush and friends of Bush. Well--I'm for kicking the Bush/ChiCom administration out of office, now rather than later. Why? Because if we wait to impeach these traitorous pigs in the White House, anyone else who wants to sell this country out to the Communists, knows that the best way to do that is to: 1)eliminate the division between Church & State and, 2) keep their zipper up at all times. Piece of cake for traitors like the NeoCONS, then. Oh--yes, and while they betray their country, its Consitution and everything America has always stood for--they are most careful to wrap their traitorous asses in our Flag, and accuse anyone who disagrees with them of being what they themselves are--Commie-loving assholes.

Neither party represents the best interests of working Americans. It's like being forced to choose between Nazis and Communists, between concentration camps and gulags, between wars and more wars. Enjoy the war because the peace will be Hell. There's not a dime's worth of difference between Nazis, Communists, Republicans and Democrats. In the end, it's all about the power. Just follow the money.

Sure, I'd rather vote for someone who could actually do some good than vote for a Democrat. But I'll STILL be voting straight-ticket Democrat in the next and all forseeable future elections. Why? Because they aren't Republicans. Because they aren't Bush, Cheney and their supporters. Because I served in the U.S. Army, and more than one senior officer and/or NCO told me I'd better vote Republican. NOBODY tells me how to vote, especially not someone who is forbidden by law to do so. I'm not going to waste my vote on a fringe candidate. I want the Bush gang and any potential successors gone. Since it's neither legal nor moral to advocate that they be hauled up before a war crimes tribunal and than hanged, I can at least vote for the "other guy", in this case, whichever Democrat is running.

If I didn't feel sorry for for these people who spew out opinions -- it would be laughable !!! The war is not right but it was both the democratic and republican parties who put us there and terrorist acts that keep us there. As for war because of oil --- tell me why there are no new refineries be built here or oil drilling in Alaska or off the coast of California and Florida --- reason democratic and repbulican politicians trying to win votes. So before griping about our goverment look at yourself -- you not the party put our leaders in office and we will keep making the same mistakes if we continue voting for the party insted of the individual.
