If Nortel can do something about Nokia, I think that the obvious candidate for an acquisition is Tellabs. Nokia and Nortel have been rumored to be interested in it for a while, and according to NewsVisual, the ties from each to Tellabs are pretty strong (see article: http://www.newsvisual.com/newsvisual/2007/08/nortel.html). I read that 3Com is supposed to be a pretty good contender as well.
