The new technology will be unveiled soon in the UK for a new Coke product, Sprite Super Chilled. Apparently, the bottled Sprite will be vended from a specially-designed machine that keeps the soda near-freezing. When the consumer twists off the top, a mechanism (no more specific description is yet available) converts some of the Sprite inside to ice. Since the ice is made from the drink, unlike fountain drinks, the contents won't be diluted.
If successful, the technology could quickly spread throughout the Coke family of products, and may gain the interest of brewers and vintners as well.

Any coke product or other soft drink will semi freeze or turn to slush upon opening if it is cold enough.

I used to have sprite like this at work, I put it in the ice compartment and the bottle wouldn't freeze, when you open the lid you would see ice forming into rough diamond like shapes. very refreshing... caused by the release of pressure and bubbles? It has to be at an exact temperature or you end up with slush.

Actually, the concoction that is Coca Cola is an antidote to alcohol- no one markets it this way- But it is ONLY COKE that works on deleting a hangover. Did not mean to be so jive with my slush comment- we have Oreos on pizzas and Icee with Colas, Why not have something icy dispensed by a machine? In the heat of a sumemr day, one wants cold. This may do it! I'm an investor.
