- Back in June of 2006, MarketWatch's Chuck Jaffe wrote up a company Electra was involved with as his Stupid Investment of the Week. Jaffe received a phone call featuring the prerecorded voice of Carmen Electra, touting a company called Luvoo.com (OTC PK: LUVT). Shares of that company have since collapsed to 8 cents per share.
- Electra also signed on as a spokesman for a company called eFoodSafety.com (OTC BB: EFSF), and the company put out a press release hyping her involvement.
- The most interesting one: Payment Data Systems Inc. (OTC BB: PYDS) is a tiny microcap that announced its Carmen Electara prepaid Mastercard last year. Here's where it gets potentially shady. The company paid penny stock shill Jonathan Lebed $25,000 for a one-month investor relations contract that mainly consisted of sending out emails to his subscribers touting the stock with messages like "Combined with PYDS's new Carmen Electra debit cards and many more celebrities coming soon, it doesn't get much bigger than this!!!"
- For those of you who don't remember, Lebed made headlines in 2000 when he settled SEC charges of stock manipulation -- at the age of 15. Ever the self-promoter, Mr. Lebed posted a YouTube video of himself rubbing elbows with Ms. Electra.
I don't know the extent of Ms. Electra's involvement with these companies/stock promotions. But the fact is she has gotten herself involved with some pretty shady characters, and it's something her handlers may want to keep an eye on: Associating with the targets of SEC investigations can be a career-killer.

Thanks for bringing up the co EFSF. I didn't know about them but when I read your blog about Carmen I checked into the stock. Wow do they have an amazing list of products. They have a product by the name of Cinnergen that has been tested to lower your blood sugar levels and its all natural. Its been tested and they say that a lot of the people that used it were able to stop or take less of their diabetes medicines. They also have a product called Cinnechol that lowers your cholesterol levels and a side effect is that it lowers your blood pressure. I know I need that and so do millions of other people. Then they have this other product that kills so many germs and Anthrax.
The product that Carmen is going to be spokesman for is called Pureffect also Maria Menounos will join her . It will compete with Proactive and people say it was tested to be better WOW do you know how much pimple cream teenagers buy per year millions of dollars worth.
Then I found a product that they make that could be the real gangbuster. The USDA tested it and said it works and Now Dupont and 3 universities are testing for the control of Nematodes sounds boring but its a 100 billion dollar problem worldwide. That could bring huge profits to this Co or maybe even a buyout.
Another product that is to be released by the end of the month is an Immune bar that sound interesting with all these news strains of Stap infections hitting our Hospitals and schools. I have to thank you for bringing up Carmen and her manager and her other projects because if you didn't I would of never found out about this golden gem EFSF. I'm going to buy some today! I found all this on their site http://www.efoodsafety.com/products.html

While it would not be appropriate for me to comment specifically about Ms. Electra and her overall endorsement decisions, as I don't know anything about those companies nor their products. I can however, comment on Ms. Electra and her dealings with us. Also I would like to add that I don't appreciate the "shady characters" attribute related to Payment Data Systems http://www.paymentdata.com and the implications toward Ms. Electra.
I also want to take exception to the innuendo that Payment Data is a target of SEC investigations.
I can tell you that our experience with Ms. Electra has been nothing but positive. Ms. Electra is one of the most sincere individuals I know and is a very hard working woman who is committed to her endorsement obligations. She is also a woman who is kind and sincere when it comes to working with others. She is completely without ego or condecension and always puts people around her at ease. We have truly enjoyed our relationship with Ms. Electra and her personna has brought value and credibility to our company. We have nothing but appreciation and the greatest respect for Ms. Electra.
Payment Data, while I agree is small, has been around for 9 years and has garnered some of the largest companies in the U. S. as customers.
We run a business that is based in ethics, commitment to service, and providing singular and significant value to our customers. Small does not mean unethical nor shady. We are a fully reporting company and the SEC has NEVER investigated us for any reason.
I would appreciate you checking your facts about us in the future should you find the need to write something about Payment Data Systems. You may also feel free to contact me directly if there is some question or concern you have about the company or any of our program offerings.
Sincerely,
Michael Long
CEO
Payment Data Systems.
