Examples of items on sale tomorrow morning include a Sanyo 50" plasma HDTV selling for $998 and an Acer laptop PC selling for $348. While a $350 laptop was in the mix last Black Friday, a large 50" plasma TV for under $1,000 is quite a new entry for low prices on big flat-panel HDTVs. Customers will surely be lining up for that one.
Another interesting sale angle here are HD DVD movie titles for under $15. Generally, the higher-quality HD DVD format sells for $27 to $30 at Wal-Mart (as opposed to $10 and $19 for regular DVD titles), so HD DVD fans may be lining up at the doors as well to score cheap-o high-def movie titles.
Wal-Mart is at it again, folks -- chopping the prices on popular products in perfect Black Friday fashion -- just a little under a month early. It's quite a treat to see four of the five items listed here coming from the consumer electronics department. Perhaps Best Buy, Inc. (NYSE: BBY) merchandising execs can commence with pulling out their own hair right about now. That, or responding with similar price cuts -- if they can.

I do not recommend for anyone to order any merchandise from Wal-Mart because they are very unreliable. I have ordered merchandise from them and the item was lost and they refuse to refund my money to me until the item shows up even though they do not know when the item will show up. I am not talking about just a few dollars I am talking about over $134.00 of my money. So if they do not have the item in the stores do not order the item from them. I have been battling with them for over a month and a half now. I doubt that I will see my money before Christmas, if I ever see it at all.

Oh mom... I know. You can tell when they are just having a bad day and when they are just being a PITA. I DO let alot fly under the radar, but there are just those people that HAVE to push it to a certain point. Or there are just those people that are so stupid all you can do is just look at them in shock and wonder how they managed to live as long as they have. I had one lady a couple weeks ago. She brought in a pair of basic hoop earrings that she had bought. Nothing special about them. No patterns, no asymetrical shapes, no special decorations. just plain round hoops. Well her reasoning was that she had bought 2 left earrings and that she needed a left and a right earring. One earring wouldn't go into her right ear because it was a left earring. The left earring went in just fine so she JUST KNEW that she had 2 Left Earrings. Needless to say I didn't dare say ANYTHING at all because I would have busted out laughing at her. Of course I knew that she was apparently just an idiot, who had just admitted that even the earrings had a higher IQ than she did. The other associate had to walk off cause she just couldn't take it. I just exchanged the earrings and got her out before her aura started attacking the brain cells of others around us.

I was "fortunate" enough to get one of the 50" Sanyo's from my local store. I walked in at 8:05, as other one was wheeled out. I walked back to an organized electronics department and asked for it, they brought it up. NO LINES, NO WAITING.. done deal. Set it up and its a gem. Looked it up online and its a very nice set. I bought the extended warranty for 100.00 for 2-3 years and I'll see how long this "cr&p" lasts..
About the only time I've shopped wallyworld all year and I think it was a good purchase. Can people stop the back biting though.. this post is littered with envy, nitpicking, and sour grapes. Grow up people and act considerately.

I REALLY THINK THAT SHOPPING ON BLACK CHRISTMAS FRIDAY IS A WASTE OF TIME BECAUSE IF YOU DON'T CAMP OUT ON THE PARKING LOT FOR THE ONLY TWO TO FIVE ITEMS THAT THEY HAVE ON SELL YOU LOOSE OUT ON GOOD SLEEP. AND NOW THAT WALMART NO LONGER HAVE A LAY-A-WAY TO HELP THE PEOPLE OUT WHO DON'T HAVE A CREDIT CARDS OR CAN'T AFFORD TO SPEND A COUPLE OF HUNDREDS OF DOLLORS IN ONE SHOPPING ROUND THEN YOUR REALLY NOT HELPING PEOPLE OUT WITH THE SALES.

Isn't it really silly that any store would have a reduced price sale just because black people threaten to not buy anything on Friday. What are you white folks waiting on? Let us choose a day to not go shopping so we also can reap the rewards of Wal-Mart savings.

While the President and Congress ignore the real problem in this country, using the wars,[remember Korea,Viet-nam,Iran and Iraq] as a mask to the complete takeover of our government by the large monopolies which, even now are running this country through various elected officials who take orders from the massive drug and pharmaceutical, petroleum, armament and cable companies, etc. we allow these things to fester right in front of us all,and think that there is nothing we can do about it.I am not trying to start a revolution here but there are quite a few other choices we have to prove that Democracy does work and can last more than 200-300 years that others have claimed has happened many times before. We must first get rid of the two party system and allow as many people a chance to speak their piece as we can to stop the situation that is deteriorating right under our noses. We must go underground also and root out the individuals who sell out to those companies and make a public mockery of them to stop it right at its beginning. There are many things an honest person can do,but where can we find one. Do you know one? Look in your heart and ask yourself, would you sell out to these companies. I think now you know what has to be done and how much everyone must get involved, for only then can we have Honesty when everyone is watching.

These early sales events aren't that great. There is limited product, and some of thier stores have 0 on hands of some of the product. They are advertising "deleted" or "discontinued" skus and creating an event to move unwanted inventory. I know people are excited about the great savings on HD players, but they are 1st generation models that only provide 1080i signals. Best Buy, even though they are selling a higher quality product has done a great job with pricing the models they carry and giving away enough free dvds to compensate for the price difference. Walmart is pulling a fast one on a lot of people, most of their product is gone after 2 hours of being open because their is hardly any inventory.

Listen people it does not matter if you buy somthing that is ten dollars or two hundred thousand dollars what it does make sense is that the product is made well. I work for a company where all the products that come to the united states comes here very cheaply. For instance when you buy anything that is cheaply made, in two years they want you to rebuy it again because its all about the cheap trade agreement. Years ago, when MY mom was alive we bought good stuff made in this country but USA citizens. Now that the manufacturers can not afford to pay US any money and most americans can not or do not want to spend the money, therefore we have to go overseas and get mostly JUNK! I think that this country needs to have our products made here and import them here for US to use our own products not buy poorly made, cheaply made products so we have to respend again and again. Think about it, if you bought a computer made here by Dell in Austin Texas, you paid a good price for it, example 800.00 for a full fledged computer and you have problems you call or send the product back. If you have problems with the company from China, Japan, Korea and other countries they are not going to stand by you. I own my own company in China, and YES we sell to the USA, but its not computers its costume jewelry line. If my line breaks we send out replacements with no cost to the buyer.
Here we need to step up USA people and tell your government to give you bigger salaries and better paychecks so you do not have to rely on foreign lands to sell you food, toliet paper and computers, cars etc.
Soon we will not be living in the USA soon we will be owned By Foreign Imports or Foreign nations and China too.
Really think about it, because this has been around for more than two decades now. I may be young and smart but I tell you, soon you will wish you have had saved more and spent less. Listen to that lady who talks about buying fom the Power Mall, i think that is the best way to be. And also... For all of you, who think that Christmas means gift giving you are on a different planet. The meaning of Christmas is when Jesus was born nothing to do with giving a gift.
I think that the Jehovah Witnesses have the best of both worlds. I am Hindu, but they do not believe in gift giving and boy they are the richest bunch of people too. They drive nice cars because they do not foolishly spend on "Gift Giving".
I say this and I will finish with, We need to ask for more money from our govt and let them know that we want to buy here in the states I am one of them, I call and write to each one of them all the time. You ought to do too.
Then soon our worries will be over and less is spent on Wally World.

Ok, so after years of waiting in lines a 3 in the morning, or camping out for great sales on black fridays, blue mondays or whatever-days, then getting into the store only to have them tell me, "Oh sorry, those are all gone. We were only given a few.' My sons friend who worked at , Best Buy, Sears, Walmart and a few other places told me...."When there is something real good for an extremely great price...your chances of getting one are very small. The employees are grabbing them up before the doors even open! Or they are setting them aside and having relatives and friends buy them." How can you beat that!...I quit. I'm doomed to pay regular price.

Walmart wants to control the retail world and when they do they will get their return on the give aways - then will you never see falling prices ever again. instead a a billion $ worth of sales on black friday it will be a billion $ in profits from that day alone i think they learned this lesson from the oil companies, While with little or none of the profits being reinvesting in your local community. They only want you to come into thier stores so they can get you hooked on China imports that are profitable. While they have prices thay have NO customer service and standing 30 minutes in line is the norm here, seems only when you check out yourself using the self serve you can get in and out of the store in a timely fashion. Just try finding a clerk when you need one or a decent peice of produce or meat that was gassed so it would look fresh forever. A company without ethices in the work place, living wages or benifits for employees a report from one New England state showed over 10% on medical assistant also worked at Walmart. Just think one day there will be only Walmart left
