Option update: Morgan Stanley volatility increases as MS sells off 3%

Morgan Stanley (NYSE: MS) is recently down $1.68 to $53.87. Fox-Pitt downgraded MS to In-line from Outperform. MS November at the money 55 straddle is priced at $4.60. MS December option implied volatility of 56 is above its 26-week average of 37 according to Track Data, suggesting larger risk.

Intuit (NASDAQ: INTU) is expected to report an EPS on Nov. 15. INTU call option volume of 10,925 contracts compares to put volume of 672 contracts. INTU November option implied volatility of 51 is above its 26-week average of 31 according to Track Data, suggesting larger risk.
