Flash: Asia stocks hit hard again

Shares in Asia dropped sharply overnight.

The Japan Nikkei hit a multi-month low, dropping 2.5% to 15,197. A number of exporters were off well over 3% with Honda (NYSE: HMC) off 3.7%.

The Hong Kong Hang Seng sold off 3.3% to 27,666. China Mobile (NYSE: CHL), the world's largest cellular carrier, fell 5.6% and China Petroleum (NYSE: SNP) was down 8.2%.

The Shanghai Composite dropped 2.4% to 5,188.
