Censoring Santa in Sydney: No to Ho, Ho, Ho

Are there a lot of Hos in Sidney?

Hey, man, if ya' are, are, are then just get over yourself. Merry Christmas and HO, HO, HO!!

It is getting really stupid when you start making Santa say HaHaHa instead of HOHOHO!! Santa has always said Ho Ho Ho!! and it will always be that way in my family. If you don't like Christmas keep your neck in the sand. Christmas is a time for fun and families. It is the time of year you get to see the faces of little ones light up when they hear Santa's Ho Ho Ho!! THe time of the year you should wish each other a Very Merry Christmas!!

Why would you use the term "nappy-headed" in this piece? Did you need to write that? Did it make some important point? Pretty pathetic in my opinion. Yeah the Santa/ho-ho-ho thing is silly but why use that term? We should avoid some inflammatory terms at all costs and not use them lightly.

Aren't all the ho's unionized and if so why arent they pushing for this change? Leave Santa alone, the man has only 1 day a year of recognition.

I agree with kevin, why start another blog-fued about improper usage of words, and yes it is very pathetic to try to start that mess up again. Its done, it's in the past and it was forgotten about, until now :(

Why shouldn't people be offended by HO HO HO they're offended by everything else. These same offended people also get to set the rules for all occasions because no one wants to butt heads.

Do you want to know what I think? I think that--if you keep tracing this PC bull to its source--you're going to find a group of people with a sinister hidden agenda: to gradually chip away at what we are and aren't allowed to say--that is, our freedom of speech--until they can take us over and rule over us. They're depending on people to be so ridiculously SILLY that they can end up accomplishing this. Fortunately, it looks as if there are still plenty of us who aren't buying into this crapola! What next? Can we not sing "Silent Night, HOly Night" or "O HOly Night" anymore? How about that late great Hawaiian guy named Don who gave us such songs as "Pearly Shells?" Are stores going to ban his recordings unless the record labels only show his first name? How about HOstess HO-HOs? What's next!?! As I said, this is, imo, a case of word police trying to steal our freedoms! Beware!!!

This nonsense is getting worse with each holiday season. Everyone should just grow a little thicker skin.

Santa is known for his HO HO HO! Everyone around the world knows that is what Santa says...It's part of the Christmas Spirit and celebration. If you change that to HA HA HA it's not the same! He isn't laughing at anyone... Come on now. I see no offense in this at all... We all have been brought up with that.
Why change it now???
I work during the holidays @ Santaland and the kids faces and even the adults faces when they see Santa and they say Ho Ho Ho is just amazing! They all light up with happiness.

This is getting ridiculous! Santa can't say Ho,Ho,Ho anymore. This is a fictional character we are talking about. We're not allowed to to say Christmas tree,lights or anything of the sort. We have to say Holiday tree,lights now for the sake that someone might be offended. Our freedoms are getting stripped from us more and more everyday. Whats next, we'll have to give the Tooth Fairy another name?

I think that SYDNEY, should take care of there serious RAT problem then worry about the words HO HO HO. You ever been near there warehouse district you would run out of there screaming. It's discusting, filthy,and shameful. They have so many rats running around, you swear that the black top is moving. Maybe if you ask Santa real nice he will deliver RAT traps to you for Christmas. What ever you do please don't leave cheese and crackers for him. They would be gone before he gets there.
