I can't believe I didn't see this until today. This is by far the best explanation of what went wrong in subprime -- British satirists John Fortune and John Bird conduct a mock interview explaining subprime, CDOs, SIVs, etc. Who needs Harvard Business School case studies when you have this?
This clip should be shown at Congressional hearings.

It's unbelievable. We're talking billions of dollars. Many people have made money from this. This kind of swindling is always happening with "Wall Street's high finance" and the culprits continue their scamming and continue to get away without being penalized. Congress should keep on having hearings to sue and convict the guilty parties. Of course this would be a too simplistic request. We the people keep on paying without our politicians doing anthing but playing politics. But shucks, we elected them in the first place. Democracy works?
