We know that Google Inc. (NASDAQ: GOOG) exec David Drummond has said that he's not fond of the proposed acquisition of Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ: YHOO) by software giant Microsoft Corp. (NASDAQ: MSFT). Drummond indicated that he believes Microsoft could influence the internet too much like it has done in the PC market. What about other Google execs -- what do they think?Google co-founder Sergey Brin took a potshot last week (although indirectly) by saying "The Internet has evolved from open standards, having a diversity of companies. And when you start to have companies that control the operating system, control the browsers, they really tie up the top Web sites, and can be used to manipulate stuff in various ways. I think that's unnerving." There you have it, Microsoft. You may soon be unnerving the world's largest search company.
This really is not a new argument, but it's typical of Google, which tends to believe in openness for all Internet users instead of locked-down and proprietary solutions controlled by select companies. Although Microsoft has lost court battles claiming it used illegal, monopolistic tactics to build its company in many ways, nothing of the sort has tarnished Google's doors yet. It simply built the best solution possible, and what do you know -- customers flocked to it. It'll be that position that Google takes as it continues planting the seeds of doubt and discontent as the Micro-Hoo situation continues to evolve.

I dont get how Google, the Monopoly of the Internet, it has the audacity to try to maintain their monopoly by disparaging possible competition and gets away with it!
Where is the FTC?
How about the advertisers, they re not going to be able to go to anyone else. How about MSFT, they re getting stiffed by the hollywood studios on the DVD standard and now Google on Msft s right to compete.
Talk about Alice in Wonderland. And no one files a class action anti trust complaint?? I might just do it myself already. Anyone interested?
We all have an equitable interest if we bought HD DVD players or discs. We all have an equitable interest if we want to be the beneficiaries of competition in internet advertising. All those prices get passed to the consumer.
How about It? How about the freedom of the marketplace and the consumer to make these decisions and not Monster Monopolys like GooGle and the HollyWood Heavies.

Open standards probably is fine for users who like eachother, but it is exactly opposite the reality as usual...Will there be "open security" as well as users probalby could hack into other users out of spite for what he just posted about such issues for example.. This is probably what Microsoft is trying to do to make computing experience a safe one for all users and all adversaries as well. Because we dont think we can permit users with hacking or Trojan crap experience to wreck one other user's computer through open standards that may not be up to spiff with the best security measures like anti virus, spywares, parental controls, firewalls, etc..... Microsoft , after decades of frustrations with hackers and troublemakers, just decides to finish it all and off for once!! I have no respect for anyone with skillful computing capabilities to abuse their services for some extra pocket changes. I would gladly shoot them thorugh the foreheads!! I had my fill with them. They are cyberscums!!
