Aden sisters: Outlook on gold

"Keep your gold for the long-term; it's today's best investment," says Mary Anne and Pamela Aden in The Aden Forecast. "Despite normal ups and downs, we strongly believe you'll be glad that you held hold onto your gold."

"Gold, silver and most of the gold shares are about the only markets to show gains so far this year. Everything else is down, and in many cases down sharply. Gold has recently been hitting new, or multi-year highs against the euro, the Dow Industrials, bonds and oil.

"In other words, it's stronger than these other markets. Gold is outperforming them and the percentage gains are greater in gold compared to all of the other markets.

"Simply put, gold is where you want to be. Silver is good too. These are the best markets. That's why we've consistently stressed keeping a large part of your investments in gold, silver and their shares.

"Overall, the credit crisis, the threat of recession and all of the uncertainty that surrounds it has caused a flight to safety, not to mention the weaker dollar, debt, rising inflation and geopolitical problems. The outlook hasn't been this positive for gold in the past decade, even more so than during the 1970s.

"Even though gold has risen steadily for seven years, it's only now entered a stronger phase of the bull market when it reached a record high last month, and it still has a long way to go in the years ahead.

"Whether we are headed for a severe recession, or if the economy slows but maintains stability, gold should do well well in either scenario. Gold rises during times of uncertainty, it rises during times of inflation and easy money, it rises when the dollar is weak, and all of this is currently keeping a strong foundation under the gold price.

"Gold's step by step phase is complete and the mania phase has yet to come. Gold is in a mega bull market rise, which is why it's important to stay focused on the big picture. Meanwhile, we continue to recommend core positions in streetTRACKS Gold (NYSE: GLD), iShares Comex Gold (ASE: IAU) and iShares Silver Trust (ASE: SLV)."
