There was never any "real" "American dream" to begin with. The Americans' sweet, sweet lifestyle was due to America's exploitation of number of 3rd world countries in Central/South America and it's own work force. Plus the cheap oil coming out of those stupid Saudi Arabians who finally did wise up and created OPEC to protect their interests.
Now that the free lunch if finally over the Americans are suddenly waking up and beginning to see the light...maybe. Or they will blame China and Russia and try to get the remaining of the oil by force, what else is new?
Yes, I do have proof to back I all am writing: I have talked to plenty 60+ guys and they told me in great detail how NOT great living and working in Central USA was during the 1950s working for the man.
