Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) is up over 6% after reporting a good quarter.
LSI Logic (NYSE:LSI) is up 10% on improved results.
Conceptus (NASDAQ:CPTS) is down almost 20% after missing Wall Street forecasts.
Stocks may trade differently in the pre-market than they do in the regular session.

It was a good Q2? If you take out the one time 53 million cash gain Amazon got from selling its European rental assets. That would drop their profit from 158 million to 105 million and drop the earnings from 37cents to 24cents below estimates. Also there profit margin goes from4% to 2.6% where it has been for along time. They better keep coming up with tricks to fudge their numbers. Because the core business numbers are not impressive at all. Amazons market cap at 35 billion doesnt seem high for a company that earns 500-600million per year, with a 2.6% profit margin? Amazon is still treated like a startup with the best years to come, when it really is a overhyped, overpriced company.
