John McCain went on CNBC this morning to argue -- once again -- that the key to reviving the economies lies with keeping taxes under control, especially the capital gains tax. The Arizona Republican yet again accused Democrat Barack Obama of being a tax-and-spend liberal, the type of boogeyman that would send shivers down the spine of most CNBC viewers. And you know what? These tactics are failing miserably. Polls indicate that baring any huge cataclysmic event, Barack Obama will be the next president of the United States. According to Bloomberg News, McCain "goes into the campaign's final weekend a bigger underdog than any victorious candidate in a modern election."
The reason for McCain's poor performance are many. He picked a vice presidential canadidate, Sarah Palin, who most Americans believe is unqualified. Reportedly, the Alaska governor and McCain are not getting along. I have no idea whether these rumors are true nor do I care. He spent too much of his time badmouthing Obama and not enough offering a positive, uplifting message for the country.
Obama, whom I have volunteered for, is the right candidate at the right time. He is just the inspirational figure to lead the country out of the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression. I honestly believe that he is planning to cut taxes on most Americans including Joe the Plumber. McCain, on the other hand, just does not get it.
By focusing on issues such as the captial gains tax, McCain underscores how out of touch he is with the American people. Most voters could care less about what tax they may pay on gains on their investments considering how many of them -- including me -- have seen their portfolios declined by double digits.
Consumer spending fell by its biggest level in four years. Foreclosures are at record levels. Tens of thousands of people have lost their jobs on Wall Street, Detroit and elsewhere. Many people would love to have the problems of capital gains taxes that McCain is so irate about,

The writer of this article does not get it. Frist of all it is apparent he must have failed economics 101, or maybe never had the course. Proven in history is when the Federal Government reduces taxes more revunue and more jobs are created. The fact that Bush had a war to deal with and natural disasters here at home and abroad to deal with, and 911 accounts for most of the money spend. We had to spend the money. What Bush allowed is the huge ear-marks added to ever bill passed by Republicans and Democrats alike. Democrats have been in power for two years and what have they done, spend baby spend. Now, they blame the spending on President Bush. All Americans are not stupid, but many are mis-informed.

Just ahead of McCain and shaking hands with Follieri appears to be Rick Davis--McCain's top aide and now co-manager of his campaign, who accompanied him on the trip and advised the government of Montenegro. A few months after McCain's yacht party, Follieri strengthened his ties to McCain's orbit by retaining Rick Davis's well-connected Washington lobbying firm, Davis Manafort, and offering Davis both an investment deal and help in securing the Catholic vote for McCain's presidential bid. Follieri, who posed as Vatican chief financial officer in order to win friends and investments, pleaded guilty Wednesday in a Manhattan district court to conspiracy to commit wire fraud, eight counts of wire fraud and five counts of money laundering. As part of the plea, Follieri admitted to misappropriating at least $2.4 million of investor money and redirecting it to foreign personal bank accounts that were disguised as business accounts.
The photograph substantiates reports that in late August, 2006, McCain celebrated his 70th birthday aboard a yacht, the Celine Ashley, rented by A-list con man Raffaello Follieri and his then-movie star girlfriend Anne Hathaway.
In the photograph, taken in Montenegro at the end of August, McCain is shown boarding the yacht ramp towards the smiling Follieri and Hathaway.

The polls are in the tank- just like the dishonest media has been. They are perpetrating a fraud on the the American peple and that fraud is Obama.
They are trying to discourage people from getting to the polls (voter suppression).
Add that to the illegal voter registration and voter fraud courtesy of Obama's ACORN and Project Vote- EVERYONE must get out and vote McCain-Palin on Tuesday.

I sincerely believe that Americans are among the dumbest people on this earth. It may be the fluoridated drinking water, it may be genetics, perhaps a mix-up in the melting pot gene pool.
To even consider voting for the dishonest old geezer McCain, a man who was given special privileges in North Vietnam and who made over 30 propaganda movies for his captors, a man who did not hesitate smearing Obama with constant lies.
Running for president is like attending a long job interview. The smart thing to do would be to convince your employer (the American People) why they should vote for you. The employer is much less interested in hearing any tirades against other applicants from you.
Got it?
Obama will be president and America will take a huge step toward socialism, a long overdue step.
Idiots like Bluhm don't get it. They never will because they don't have the smarts
