Options Update: Microsoft volatility Elevated; shares near 11-year low after EPS


Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) is recently down over 7% to $17.67 in pre-open trading. MSFT report Q2 EPS of 47c verses consensus estimates of 49c. MSFT said it is planning for economic uncertainty for the rest of the year. MSFT purchased $2.2B in MSFT shares in Q2. MSFT February option implied volatility of 60 is above its 26-week average of 46, according to Track Data, suggesting larger price movement.
