Apple, Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) has been on a tear for years. The company, which markets, merchandises and sells its iPod, iPhone and Mac PCs as only it could do, also ranks at the top of customer service in the PC industry as well as being the hottest company in tech.By a wide margin, Apple topped competitors like Gateway (a division of Taiwan's Acer) and Hewlett-Packard Corp. (NYSE: HPQ) with an 80% score. Only Gateway entered into some of the same territory, racking up a 66% score. Companies like HP and Dell, Inc. (NASDAQ: DELL) fared poorly, with Dell coming in last among the five PC makers who made it into the survey.
Is Apple really that good? This isn't the first time the company has scored well, so not only are its products hotter than ever, so is its support apparently. Apple's stock, which is currently residing at $120 after an excellent ride so far this year, stands to only go up as the newer iPhone 3.0 software is released this summer and possibly a replacement iPhone as well. Add to that rising Mac PC sales and the company can't seem to do anything wrong -- except bear witness to the recession that's crimping all PC makers.

Well, think for a moment, that's because Apple products top all others for out-of-the-box reliability and unparalleled customer service at point-of-purchase. Happiness is like a rash: it spreads and infects all aspects of a business. I'm calling conservatively for earnings of $1.17 tomorrow. I see very little downside risk to this call and is it possible that I'm way off to the upside. Of course Dr. O will weigh in at some point and scare the bejesus out of us all. If anybody knows where Kathryn Huberty resides please stand near her tomorrow because if Apple tears the cover off of the metaphorical ball
you'll need to keep her in the window. After 1st qt. earnings are complete the market will gradually move upward for the rest of the year. Commodities will rise and the dollar will fall. That is the key. Once the dollar begins to drop it's a free skate. It's odd that the Chinese call for the adoption of a new currency standard but they keep buying the dollar.
As Kasey Kasam says keep your feet on the ground and keep reaching for the stars.
