Apple's (AAPL) customer service trumps all other PC makers

More

Apple, Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) has been on a tear for years. The company, which markets, merchandises and sells its iPod, iPhone and Mac PCs as only it could do, also ranks at the top of customer service in the PC industry as well as being the hottest company in tech.

By a wide margin, Apple topped competitors like Gateway (a division of Taiwan's Acer) and Hewlett-Packard Corp. (NYSE: HPQ) with an 80% score. Only Gateway entered into some of the same territory, racking up a 66% score. Companies like HP and Dell, Inc. (NASDAQ: DELL) fared poorly, with Dell coming in last among the five PC makers who made it into the survey.

Is Apple really that good? This isn't the first time the company has scored well, so not only are its products hotter than ever, so is its support apparently. Apple's stock, which is currently residing at $120 after an excellent ride so far this year, stands to only go up as the newer iPhone 3.0 software is released this summer and possibly a replacement iPhone as well. Add to that rising Mac PC sales and the company can't seem to do anything wrong -- except bear witness to the recession that's crimping all PC makers.
