In honor of Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL)'s earnings report today, here are 20 things you should know about its CEO Steve Jobs.1. His first job was at Atari (and he only took this position to raise money for a spiritual retreat to India).
2. He was a college drop out (but never missed a calligraphy class . . . seriously).

4. He is a dedicated Buddhist (a Zen Buddhist monk officiated at his wedding).
5. He was awarded with National Medal of Technology from Ronald Reagan.
6. He most commonly wears this famous attire: black long-sleeved mock-turtleneck made by St. Croix, Levi's 501 blue jeans, and New Balance 992 sneakers.
7. He loves the Beatles and claims they have inspired his business model.
8. He is adopted.
9. He lured Apple's first CEO from PepsiCo Inc. (NYSE: PEP) saying: "Do you want to spend the rest of your life selling sugared water to children, or do you want a chance to change the world?" (Pepsi is currently worth $78 billion while Apple is $108 billion.)
10. He is a vegetarian and used to do acid.
11. He is not a fan of Dell Inc. (NASDAQ: DELL), calling its computers "un-innovative beige boxes."
12. His first apartment in New York City, in the San Remo, was later sold to Bono of U2.
13. He was once a deadbeat dad. His first illegitimate child along with the mother lived on welfare, until Jobs finally claimed paternity.

17. His first partner in crime (literally) was a computer hacker.
18. He has an islet cell neuroendocrine tumor (aka pancreatic cancer).
19. Bloomberg mistakenly published a 2,500-word obituary to Jobs in its corporate news service, leaving blank spaces for his age and cause of death.
20. He is taking a six-month leave of absence from Apple until the end of June 2009.
