This was an interesting day in the markets. The market opened higher because of yesterday's recovery, but slid from the open. And it slid lower most of the day. Commodities fell again on worries that the economy isn't far enough along to support higher prices, and possible regulation on the size of speculators continued to hamper prices. T. Boone Pickens gave bullish oil forecasting today, but compared to the past it wasn't that bullish. There was no major economic data for the markets to chew today, just a continued paring down of expectations ahead of earnings season. Here were the unofficial closing bell levels:

Top Analyst Calls
American International Group, Inc. (NYSE: AIG) followed the path of all reverse split stocks, again. A jury found that former head Hank Greenberg was not liable or not guilty in a trust sale. AIG shares were down almost 16% at $13.65 late in the trading session.
Mylan Inc. (NASDAQ: MYL) received an unusual generic drug approval this morning... approval from the FDA for its Abbreviated New Drug Application for Bicalutamide Tablets in 50 milligram doses as a prostate cancer treatment.
Hansen Medical Inc. (NASDAQ: HNSN) tanked after it guided second-quarter revenues lower and withdrew previous system placements guidance. Shares were down over 33% at $3.13 in late-day trading.
Marvell Technology Group Ltd. (NASDAQ: MRVL) was raised to "buy" at BofA/Merrill along with several other chip makers today. This had shares up but due to afternoon selling shares were only up 1.5% at $11.58 late in the trading day.
UnithedHealth Group, Inc. (NYSE: UNH) was up sharply with other medical insurers and HMO's on word that there is probably going to be a larger place for them in the new healthcare changes coming down the pipe. Shares were up almost 5% at $25.26 late in the trading day.
