Jon Stewart slams Cramer over Lenny Dykstra bankruptcy

More

Apparently Daily Show host Jon Stewart isn't quite done with his Jim Cramer-bashing -- but in this case, he has a point. Dykstra filed for bankruptcy last week and then followed that up with a CNBC interview that made Sarah Palin's Katie Couric adventure look like the Gettysburg Address.

Stewart dug up a clip of Cramer lavishing praise on the former New York Met as "one of the great ones" in the investment business.

In the past, I've taken Cramer to task for his decision to put this guy on a pedestal, especially given the unusual nature of how they met. Back in April of last year, I wrote that "It makes you wonder: do you really want to take options trading advice from a guy who got his job as an investment guru at least in part because he sent Jim Cramer's sister a signed poster? Just saying." Then came the allegations that Dykstra wasn't even coming up with his own trading ideas for his TheStreet.com column.

Cramer and Stewart declared a truce when they appeared together on The Daily Show, but Stewart couldn't resist coming back for more on this story. I can't say I blame him. Watch the video below.
