Closing Bell: Mixing the indexes (AAI, COP, RPRX, VG, SIRI)

Today was one of those days where commodities and the dollar went all over. Gold still rose, yet oil fell on a very mixed inventory report. The markets started out with some strength, but the major indexes were mixed at the end of the day.

Here are today's unofficial closing bell levels:

S&P 500 1,057.56 +2.84 (0.27%)

AirTran Holdings Inc. (NYSE: AAI) was severely punished over a proposed secondary offering of convertible notes and stock. Shares were down almost 18% at $5.04 late in the trading day.

ConocoPhillips (NYSE: COP) may be painful for Warren Buffett, but shares hit 6-month highs on word that it is raising its dividend and cutting cap-ex. Shares were up 2.5% at $49.64 late in trading day.

Repros Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ: RPRX) was the top leader today in the world of BioHealth. Shares were up over 100% at $1.94 late in the day on about 20-times normal volume on positive study data regarding returning sperm levels and testosterone levels back to far higher counts in men with hypogandism.

Vonage Holdings Corporation (NYSE: VG) was a big winner already on its Apps launch. But today Citigroup came out and tripled a fair value price target to $1.50 and maintained its HOLD rating. Shares were up 37% at $1.94 late in the trading day.

SIRIUS XM Radio Inc. (NASDAQ: WSJ) was lower on report caution, but the real culprit is insider selling. Shares were down 4.4% at $0.549 late in the trading day.
