- Amazon.com Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN) shares soared after it reported very strong Q3 numbers.
- Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) reported stellar Q4 results, driven by the popularity of Macs and iPhones.
- BlackRock Inc. (NYSE: BLK) Q3 earnings soared, due in part to a tax benefit, and assets managed grew.
- Broadcom Corp. (NASDAQ: BRCM) revenue surged sequentially but note the would be flat going forward.
- Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE: CAT) beat Q3 earnings expectations and shares rose though revenue slumped.
- Credit Suisse Group (NYSE: CS) reported that earnings doubled in Q3, driven by healthy returns.
- Gannett Inc. (NYSE: GCI) said Q3 earnings plunged due to declining ad revenue, despite cost cutting.
- Hershey Co. (NYSE: HSY) posted better-than-expected Q3 earnings but also flat sales year over year.
- Kimberly-Clark Corp. (NYSE: KMB) reported strong Q3 earnings, sales essentially flat, and guidance.
- Lockheed Martin Corp. (NYSE: LMT) beat Q3 earnings estimates but revenue fell short of expectations.
- McDonald's Corp. (NYSE: MCD) shares rose after it reported better-than-expected numbers.
- Morgan Stanley (NYSE: MS) Q3 earnings were much lower year-over-year but it wasn't another loss.
- SLM Corp. (NYSE: SLM) shares rose sharply after its earnings report said writes would decline.
- 3M Company (NYSE: MMM) reported better-than-expected Q3 earnings, sales and raised its guidance.
- United Parcel Service (NYSE: UPS) lower Q3 earnings still beat the Street view but revenue fell short.
- Whirlpool Corp. (NYSE: WHR) said Q3 earnings fell by nearly half but still topped low expectations.
