- Torchmark Corp. (NYSE: TMK) lower earnings fell short of expectations, as did its outlook for the year.
- Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE: VZ) Q3 earnings topped expectations and cash flow was strong.
- Winn-Dixie Stores Inc. (NASDAQ: WINN) was downgraded following its weaker-than-expected Q1 results.
