Oprah Winfrey, arguably the most powerful woman in entertainment (if not the world in general), is preparing to pack her luxurious bags. She's announced that in 2011, after a quarter-century of favorite things and heartfelt interviews, "The Oprah Winfrey Show" will be no more. The last program is scheduled for Sept. 9, 2011. One can only imagine who might be her guests.
In syndication across the country, Oprah's eponymous program is the top-rated U.S. daytime show (take that, Days of Our Lives!), with an average viewership of 7.1 million this year.
While not entirely unexpected, the news is likely a bit of a blow to CBS Corporation (CBS), as its CBS Television Distribution arm syndicates the program. Additionally, Walt Disney (DIS) might feel the sting of an Oprah departure as Disney-owned ABC is the primary network that airs the show. And will it impact O, Oprah's monthly magazine published by the Heart Corporation? To say nothing of all of the manic women in the audience who long for a chance at one of Oprah's favorite things.

Oprah, give me a call. Let's be honest. Steadman doesn't seem to be getting it done if you get my point and at about this time Gayle (or does she spell her name Gail?) must be getting on your nerves so it's time to make that call. Look girl I was there back in B-More in the 70s (the day) when you were on People Are Talking with Richard Sher. Me in high school; you on tv and I remember those long walks we used to take around Loch Raven on the weekends. Just you and me and nature. It was perfect. The brown leaves and our brown skin all packed up in tight in my hatchback Pinto. Then you had to go Hollywood on me girl. You kissed me, dismissed me, and you never missed me. So here I sit with Lil Oprah, yes I named her after you and we always thought you'd be back, you promised, but all of our letters came back address unknown. So baby, I still listen to Fire and Desire by Rick James and Tina Marie "Lady T to y'all" and I cry remembering how freaky we used to get fighting over the drumstick and all of that. Thanksgiving is coming up. A place will be set at our table for you again this year. Let's stop playing this game. Bring it home to daddy. (and rich woman could you also bring home a check for any part of $10 million dollars?) That would go along way to making me whole again. Rick may have loved Mary Jane but I love Oprah just as much. So give it to me baby, I'll make you holla you've had enough. XOXOXO.

ohhh please oprah. let me emulate you.. I have a PhD and speak 4 languages... How can one woman be so powerful and overly rich in a democratic society??? Why study? join the military? obey the laws??? and more or less.. I am raceless but not lawless... Oprah has been a terribly bad influence on the Welfare class people, who want "hand outs and bail outs".... the whole system needs to change.. NO need for any Oprahs or overspoiled "DIVAs", who demand way more than they earn , and are allowed to domoniate TV, with trashy shows about nothing worth watching . Can Oprah ever work in a medical research lab?? She has cognative and intellectul dysfunctions. Also her "kind" of TV addicts suffer from alienation sydrome, meaning they have a collection of behaviors where one person or group turns against one another. Many people who can't think for themselves are negatively manipulated by the likes of drama queen Oprah.Mental health care professionals will be surely employed , when those people get done "hurting" the poor, downtrodden, hungry, welfare needing TV masses. Please Oprah give all your money $1billion to your victms, and join the US Military.

Oprah overcame some pretty significant barriers to get where she is. All kidding aside, she deserves all of her success.

The problem with Oprah is 7 million women tune in to watch a story about a transexual try to keep his wife happy while living as a woman instead of caring about real news and the situation of the country. Watching Tom Cruise jump on a couch is more important that asking why congressmen don't even read bills.
Oprah single handily reduced the collective IQ of America by 50 points over the past 20 years. She has been an inspiration to millions of minorities that if you sit around on your ass long enough someone will come and give you everything you ever wanted.
She makes it seem like she is some great philanthropist but she doesn't give anything to anyone using her own money. "Everyone get a car!!! Look what I did, I am great". But GM donated the cars as a marketing stunt and I doubt Oprah helped a single person pay the $2000 in taxes so they could keep the car.
The day that windbag is off the air can't come soon enough, but boy my mother in law won't be happy. I say can you believe that our government is going to pass a bill that will increase our electricity rates by 400% or more. She says can you believe how hard it must for the son of the guy who had a sex change operation. Yeah, that's an important thing to be on the mind of a person.
