Conan O'Brien is to receive $40 million dollars to walk away from NBC. O'Brien's agreement would bar him from bad mouthing his NBC bosses.
There has been a two week battle between NBC and O'Brien over the network's plan to move the comedian to a later 12:00 am time slot. Part of the plan is to reinstate Jay Leno in his old time slot at 11:30 p.m. which he has held for 17 years.
The two comedians shot back at NBC with these quips. When asked about NBC, Leno said: "What does NBC stand for? He answered himself by saying: "Never believe your contract." Obrien shot back with: "No matter what happens, it's been a real honor to sit in the same chair as Steve Allen, Jack Paar, Johnny Carson, Jay Leno and Jay Leno."
This was a botched arrangement from the start. When Leno's ratings started to decline, NBC hatched an arrangement whereby O'Brien would take over the Leno 11:30 pm time slot and Leno would move to 10:00p.m. What happened is that NBC suffered a drastic falloff in NBC's local stations and affiliate late news.
The negotiations between NBC and O'Brien were at best testy, with NBC threatening to bar O'Brien from appearing on TV talk shows for 2 1/2 years. Finally Universal Studios boss Ron Meyer and O'brien's representative Rick Rosen etched out the broad terms of the agreement.
So ends another chapter in the Tonight Show.

Notice that the lawyers who carved Conan's exit deal were Hollywood Jewish lawyers. Slice and dicers, cut throat to the max.

What evidence do you have of the religious preference of O'Brien's lawyers? O'Brien is Irish (or Finnish). I find it disgusting that your sentiments even exist in the 21st Century, much less that you feel the need to publicize them.
