General Electric (GE) rose to new 52-week highs after CFO Keith Sherin telegraphed that the GE dividend return was coming, with the hint of 2011. Shares were up 4.8% at $18.13 late in the trading day.
Sequenom, Inc. (SQNM) got spanked after earnings and saying it would not offer guidance and saying that it was going to raise capital this year. The company maintains that its Down's Syndrome test is its best opportunity. Shares were down 22% at $6.04 late in the trading day.
BioTime, Inc. (BTIM) rose after the company announced a "Peer-Reviewed Scientific Publication on the Reversal of the Developmental Aging of Normal Human Cells." In short, it is interested in reverse aging as a company goal. Shares were up 29% at $7.55 late in the day.
Harley-Davidson, Inc. (HOG) was up over 8% at $28.76 late in the trading day as leveraged buyout rumors surfaced in the company, noting private equity firm KKR as the rumored buyer.
National Bank of Greece (NBG) was a runner after S&P said it was affirming the ratings of Greece's sovereign debt and removed the country's sovereign rating from review. Shares were up almost 3% at $4.44 before the closing bell.
CBS Corporation (CBS) rose on word of the return of Tiger Woods at the Masters, where CBS airs rounds of golf on TV. Shares were up 2% at $14.73 ahead of the close.
