  • Polo Ralph Lauren Corp. (RL) shares rose on heavy volume after it easily topped Q4 earnings expectations.
  • Salesforce.com Inc. (CRM) Q1 earnings were in line with consensus estimates but revenue beat expectations.
  • Sears Holding Corp. (SHLD) said its earnings plunged in Q1 due to heavy discounts and lower demand.
  • Staples Inc. (SPLS) beat Q1 EPS estimates by a penny and said revenue rose, but Q2 revenue outlook was weak.
  • Target Corp. (TGT) reported strong quarterly earnings and revenue numbers that easily topped estimates.
  • TJX Companies Inc. (TJX) strong Q1 results were offset by disappointing guidance, sending shares lower.
  • Wal-Mart Stores Inc. (WMT) shares rallied on heavy volume following report of better-than-expected Q1 earnings.
