Apple iPhone launch date explored

iPhone to be released January 15th?

On December 12, 2006, we received a tip that the launch date would be January 15th. This got our hopes up but turned out to be far from the truth, although the tipster had the announcement date about right. At the time, Tobias Buckell wrote, "the recent drawing back of Apple's stock price into the 80s might represent a buying opportunity for an investor with some room for risk."Oh, if only we'd all followed his advice!
