AT&T/Cingular employees don't know any more than we do
When will the iPhone be out? Can we pre-order? Can we get a better deal if we're willing to sign up for a zillion-year contract? Cingular/AT&T store employees don't know much more than we do. According to a memo obtained by Engadget, store employees are being told to say "June" and "no" and "we don't know" in answer to those questions. Cingular customers will be able to get the iPhone for the same price as new customers, although any special pricing hasn't yet been revealed; pre-orders won't be taken; and "June" is all anyone will say regarding release date.
