<p>"Bull markets are born in the pits of despair; from current low stock prices and low PE valuations, the gains over the coming 5 to 10 years could be truly spectacular," says <a href="http://www.thestockadvisors.com/ccount/click.php?id=2975">Tom Bishop</a>.</p>
<p>In his <a href="http://www.thestockadvisors.com/ccount/click.php?id=2975">BI Research</a>, the small cap growth specialist looks at two stocks that are based in China and set to benefit from China's stimulus program: energy efficiency play, <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/smartheat-inc/heat/nas">SmartHeat</a> (NASDAQ: <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/smartheat-inc/heat/nas">HEAT</a>) and medical diagnostics firm, <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/mindray-medical-international-limited/mr/nys">Mindray Medical</a> (NYSE: <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/mindray-medical-international-limited/mr/nys">MR</a>).</p><p><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2009/03/28/small-cap-expert-eyes-china-favorites/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Small cap expert eyes China favorites</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2009/03/28/small-cap-expert-eyes-china-favorites/">Small cap expert eyes China favorites</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com">BloggingStocks</a> on Sat, 28 Mar 2009 15:30:00 EST. <p><img alt="" hspace="4" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.bloggingstocks.com/media/2008/12/tom_bishop.gif" align="left" vspace="4" border="1" />"An excellent idea for 2009 is <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/powershares-etf-trust/pyh/nys">PowerShares Value Line Industry Rotation</a> (NYSE: <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/powershares-etf-trust/pyh/nys">PYH</a>), says growth stock expert <a href="http://www.thestockadvisors.com/ccount/click.php?id=2730 ">Tom Bishop</a>.</p>
<p>In his <a href="http://www.thestockadvisors.com/ccount/click.php?id=2730 ">BI Research</a> newsletter, the advisor explains, "The fund only buys stocks that earn Value Line's top rating. For years, I have sought an easy way to invest in the Value Line stocks ranked 1, and now, here it is.</p>
<p>"If you look at the top 10 worst declines in the stock market back to the depression, these averaged 43%, with a median of 40% and makes the current bear market the second worst on record.</p>
<p>"And the average rebound in the 12 months following the low point? A whopping 55.6%. We may have hit that low point on November 20th. Only time will tell, but I have noticed that while the bad news keeps pouring in, the market is now up about 20% since then despite it. This is a possible sign that we have hit bottom. </p>
<p>"I am recommending PowerShares Value Line Industry Rotation, which is comprised of 75 stocks ranked 1 by Value Line, restricted to its top 50 ranked industries, with two in each of the top 25 industries.</p><p><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2009/01/09/top-stock-picks-09-powershares-value-line-industry-rotation-p/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Top Stock Picks '09: PowerShares Value Line Industry Rotation (PYH)</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2009/01/09/top-stock-picks-09-powershares-value-line-industry-rotation-p/">Top Stock Picks '09: PowerShares Value Line Industry Rotation (PYH)</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com">BloggingStocks</a> on Fri, 09 Jan 2009 08:00:00 EST. This article is part of his 24th annual <a href="http://money.aol.com/investing/stock_picks_2007_full_list">Top Picks Report</a>.</em></p>
<p><strong>Taseko Mines Ltd.</strong> (ASE: <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/taseko-mines-limited/tgb/ase">TGB</a>) is the favorite speculative play for 2007 from <strong>Tom Bishop</strong>, editor of <a href="http://www.biresearch.com">BI Research</a>. He notes, "After living hand to mouth for five or six years during lean copper and gold prices, Taseko bought the Gibraltar mine, which it picked up for a song when copper was down in the low $0.60/lb range.</p>
<p>"Today copper is around $3/lb, the mine is back into production and now its cash stash, including proceeds from a $30 million convertible, is steaming towards C$100 million. The company just added about 38% to its mineral reserves, which now stand at 256 million tons (equating to a 15-year mine life) grading 0.32% copper and 0.01% molybdenum. </p>
<p>Note the molybdenum alone adds over $20 million to revenues annually. The company is upgrading and expanding its Gibraltar mill/production facility, and will be moving to a higher grade softer ore part of the ore body in 2007. Therefore, with mill improvements I expect production to increase 20 to 30% this year and generate about $0.65 to $0.70 of cash flow, which is not bad for a company trading at $2.60. </p><p><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2006/12/28/top-picks-2007-tom-bishop-bets-on-copper-gains-for-taseko/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Top Picks 2007: Tom Bishop bets on copper gains for Taseko</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2006/12/28/top-picks-2007-tom-bishop-bets-on-copper-gains-for-taseko/">Top Picks 2007: Tom Bishop bets on copper gains for Taseko</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com">BloggingStocks</a> on Thu, 28 Dec 2006 14:30:00 EST.
