I'm pretty certain that almost all who hear about this Bling H2O ... what, you haven't heard? Let me enlighten you.

"Bling H2O is the inspiration of Kevin G. Boyd, Hollywood writer-producer." Apparently, Boyd noticed, while working in Hollywood of course, that people carried around their water bottle as a fashion statement. So just like any other savvy business person, he decided to capitalize on his finding. "Our product is strategically positioned to target the expanding super-luxury consumer market."

I'm going to stop quoting here 'cause ... well ... it just sounds a little hollow to me, especially since you've probably already guessed it; Bling H2O is nothing but glorified bottled water. Plain and simple. That's all it is. The water doesn't even come from some romantic location in the Alps, but from Tennessee (yes, yes, with a gazillion steps of purification). The thing that really makes Bling H2O stand out or unique is the bottle, which is hand-crafted and decorated with Swarovski crystals (nice). Price tag? $35 a bottle.

Most of you would say, I'm certain, Oh, brother! Many would probably also add a snarky remark and assure the people around them they'd rather spend the $35 on something else, say dinner. But come on, let's be honest here. How many of us would buy one? Just one. And then maybe fill it up with tap or Dasani water (well, especially if you're a McDonald's shareholder), so we could flaunt it around?

As for the viability of this business venture, which many may laugh at, I'd say that if Rolexes and Rolls-Royces have a place in this world, why shouldn't Bling H2O?
