(<a href="http://www.dailyfinance.com/quotes/corning-incorporated/glw/nys">GLW</a>). In between the world you see on hand held devices, computers, and flat screen televisions and the world within is <a href="http://www.corning.com/gorillaglass/index.aspx">Corning's Gorilla Glass</a>.<br />
<br />
Oddly this is not a new product; it was developed 48 years ago. It is thin, light weight, very strong and scratch resistant. It seems that new uses are being discovered every day, and those uses are in products that are in high growth mode. Today there is an expanding array of touch screens and flats-screens.<br />
<br />
How big is this opportunity, and will it ignite Corning stock value?<p><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2010/08/03/chasing-value-corning-gorilla-glass/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Chasing Value: Corning Gorilla Glass</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2010/08/03/chasing-value-corning-gorilla-glass/">Chasing Value: Corning Gorilla Glass</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com">BloggingStocks</a> on Tue, 03 Aug 2010 14:00:00 EST. That's because everyone was hiding in tech. They thought it was "safe."<br /><br />Perhaps we confused tech with <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/the-coca-cola-company/ko/nys">Coke</a> (NYSE: <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/the-coca-cola-company/ko/nys">KO</a>) (<a href="http://find.thestreet.com/cgi-bin/texis/cramertake_free?site=tsc&amp;puc=aoljjc&amp;tkr=KO">Cramer's Take</a>) and <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/pepsico-inc/pep/nys">Pepsi</a> (NYSE: <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/pepsico-inc/pep/nys">PEP</a>) (<a href="http://find.thestreet.com/cgi-bin/texis/cramertake_free?site=tsc&amp;puc=aoljjc&amp;tkr=PEP">Cramer's Take</a>).<br /><br />First, the root cause of all of this is the somewhat off-handed comment about how the financial services industry has cut back on spending for systems.<br /><br />We never want to hear any company say anything about spending cuts by customers. It is intriguing that the only place where spending was hit was by these customers. It was enough to kill all tech, though.<br /><br />Is it right? If tech hadn't been so hyped and if tech wasn't so linked to financial services, I don't know how much we would be down.<p><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2007/11/09/cramer-on-bloggingstocks-keep-a-close-eye-on-tech/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Cramer on BloggingStocks: Keep a close eye on tech</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2007/11/09/cramer-on-bloggingstocks-keep-a-close-eye-on-tech/">Cramer on BloggingStocks: Keep a close eye on tech</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com">BloggingStocks</a> on Fri, 09 Nov 2007 09:05:00 EST.
