At the time of this writing, shares of the beverage entity were up over 5%, with volume being quite strong. Dr Pepper delivered a decent <a href="http://money.aol.com/rtn/pr/dr-pepper-snapple-group-reports-second-quarter-2009-results/rfid241223396?channel=pf">Q2 report</a> that surprised the experts on Wall Street, so the market was happy to extend a little buying interest.
<p>According to the <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2009/08/12/dr-pepper-earnings-preview-q2-not-too-sweet/">preview</a>, Dr Pepper was supposed to do $1.5 billion on the top line and 49 cents on the bottom line. Net sales roughly matched the estimate, but net income went way beyond the call. Dr Pepper made 62 cents per share on an adjusted basis.</p><p><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2009/08/13/dr-pepper-up-on-q2-report/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Dr Pepper up on Q2 report</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2009/08/13/dr-pepper-up-on-q2-report/">Dr Pepper up on Q2 report</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com">BloggingStocks</a> on Thu, 13 Aug 2009 15:00:00 EST. On an adjusted basis, sales rose 4%. Management needed to adjust for the termination of a contract with <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/hansen-natural-corporation/hans/nas">Hansen</a> (NASDAQ: <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/hansen-natural-corporation/hans/nas">HANS</a>), as well as for currency effects. The company saw a drop in bottom-line income excluding items as earnings came in at $0.37 per share. This was $0.03 less than last year's performance.</p>
<p>However, Dr Pepper can feel happy about the fact that the company beat expectations. The <a href="http://www.earnings.com/company.asp?client=cb&amp;ticker=dps">market</a> was only looking for $0.29 per share. How refreshing (yep, another pun)! Volumes did all right during the quarter. </p><p><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2009/05/14/dr-pepper-beats-the-analysts-in-q1/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Dr Pepper beats the analysts in Q1</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2009/05/14/dr-pepper-beats-the-analysts-in-q1/">Dr Pepper beats the analysts in Q1</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com">BloggingStocks</a> on Thu, 14 May 2009 18:00:00 EST.
