Google's Stock Is Sexy Once Again; Shares Top $500

Is your appetite for stocks warming up again? In just under a month, Google's (GOOG) share price has risen over 16%. Last week, Wall St. Cheat Sheet's tech analyst Elliot Turner looked at the possible impact of the Android on Google's earnings. This week, everyone in the world learned the Android is outselling Apple's (AAPL) acclaimed iPhone. Once again, the search giant Google is back in play, but this time for a different reason: mobile.

Google TV to be Announced This Month

Google (GOOG) has been rumored to be getting in the television game for quite some time. In reality, it already is. Google's YouTube purchase back in 2006 turned it into the largest video distribution outlet on the planet, and in many ways YouTube bypasses traditional media outlets and networks to connect content producers and consumers easily with very little (to no) cost. Will Google Deliver a 'Google TV' with Intel and Sony?

Google, Inc. (GOOG) has pretty much conquered the PC as the default search and information service for the majority of internet users. It's also taking on Apple, Inc. (AAPL), as it wants to become the provider of the next-best-thing wireless platform from the iPhone (a fight that's just now getting started). It's YouTube internet video service is being embedded in millions of new Blu-ray disc players and internet-enabled televisions. Where else does Google has aspirations? How about actual Google TV?

Google's YouTube to offer paid TV shows?

Google (GOOG) has been pondering about how to more fully monetize YouTube, and the answer may be one of the most obvious alternatives: sell streaming content instead of giving nearly everything away for free, even with all the different kinds of ads YouTube features now.

This should not come as a surprise. Google is experimenting with as many revenue models as possible to try and tap into the potential war chest of cash waiting to fall down from the world's largest video website property. The first volley? Compete head-to-head with Apple (AAPL) iTunes and offer individual television episodes for $1.99 each.
