(<a class="inlinked" href="http://www.dailyfinance.com/quotes/google-inc/goog/nas">GOOG</a>) continues to broaden its reach in the <a class="inlinked" href="http://www.dailyfinance.com/glossary/Technology Sector">technology sector</a>, and today the company announced that it plans to <a href="http://www.totaltele.com/view.aspx?ID=458396">launch its Google TV platform</a> globally in 2011.<br />
<br />
The company gave a demonstration of the new platform today in Berlin, illustrating how a Google search bar would appear on top of the TV and allow users to search both the internet and live TV listings.<p><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2010/09/07/google-to-launch-tv-platform-globally-in-2011/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Google to Launch TV Platform Globally in 2011</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2010/09/07/google-to-launch-tv-platform-globally-in-2011/">Google to Launch TV Platform Globally in 2011</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com">BloggingStocks</a> on Tue, 07 Sep 2010 17:00:00 EST. In just under a month, Google's (<a href="http://www.dailyfinance.com/quotes/google-inc/goog/nas" class="inlinked">GOOG</a>) share price has risen over 16%. Last week, Wall St. Cheat Sheet's tech analyst Elliot Turner looked at the possible <a href="http://wallstcheatsheet.com/trading-markets/a-cocktail-napkin-estimate-for-googles-android/?p=15539/">impact of the Android on Google's earnings</a>. This week, everyone in the world learned the Android is outselling Apple's (<a href="http://www.dailyfinance.com/quotes/apple-inc/aapl/nas" class="inlinked">AAPL</a>) acclaimed iPhone. Once again, the search giant Google is back in play, but this time for a different reason: mobile. <br />
<br />
Last month, Ericsson (<a href="http://www.dailyfinance.com/quotes/lm-ericsson-telephone-company-american-depositary-shares/eric/nas" class="inlinked">ERIC</a>) reported the number of cell phone subscribers in the world reached 5 billion! Google has its eyes set on the high growth market where, upon entering, they can flip the search switch and monetize the mobile ad market quickly and swiftly.<p><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2010/08/05/googles-stock-is-sexy-once-again-shares-top-500/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Google's Stock Is Sexy Once Again; Shares Top $500</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2010/08/05/googles-stock-is-sexy-once-again-shares-top-500/">Google's Stock Is Sexy Once Again; Shares Top $500</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com">BloggingStocks</a> on Thu, 05 Aug 2010 09:30:00 EST. In reality, it already is. Google's YouTube purchase back in 2006 turned it into the largest video distribution outlet on the planet, and in many ways YouTube bypasses traditional media outlets and networks to connect content producers and consumers easily with very little (to no) cost. But, that's not enough. Google needs to encroach on the 50-inch flat screen television instead of being relegated to squinting eyes needed on a laptop screen.<p><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2010/05/03/google-tv-to-be-announcd-this-month/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Google TV to be Announced This Month</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2010/05/03/google-tv-to-be-announcd-this-month/">Google TV to be Announced This Month</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com">BloggingStocks</a> on Mon, 03 May 2010 15:40:00 EST. (<a href="http://www.dailyfinance.com/quotes/google-inc/goog/nas">GOOG</a>) has pretty much conquered the PC as the default search and information service for the majority of internet users. It's also taking on Apple, Inc. (<a href="http://www.dailyfinance.com/quotes/apple-inc/aapl/nas">AAPL</a>), as it <a href="http://thenextweb.com/mobile/2010/03/15/blackberry-users-iphone-android-envy-report/">wants to become the provider</a> of the next-best-thing wireless platform from the iPhone (a fight that's just now getting started). It's YouTube internet video service is being embedded in millions of new Blu-ray disc players and internet-enabled televisions. Where else does Google has aspirations? How about actual Google TV?</p><p><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2010/03/18/will-google-deliver-a-google-tv-with-intel-and-sony/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Will Google Deliver a 'Google TV' with Intel and Sony?</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2010/03/18/will-google-deliver-a-google-tv-with-intel-and-sony/">Will Google Deliver a 'Google TV' with Intel and Sony?</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com">BloggingStocks</a> on Thu, 18 Mar 2010 17:30:00 EST. Google is experimenting with as many revenue models as possible to try and tap into the potential war chest of cash waiting to fall down from the world's largest video website property. The first volley? Compete head-to-head with Apple (<a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/apple-inc/aapl/nas">AAPL</a>) iTunes and <a href="http://www.appleinsider.com/articles/09/12/01/google_hopes_to_compete_with_itunes_offer_pay_tv_on_youtube.html">offer individual television episodes</a> for $1.99 each.<br /><br /><p><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2009/12/02/googles-youtube-to-offer-paid-tv-shows/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Google's YouTube to offer paid TV shows?</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2009/12/02/googles-youtube-to-offer-paid-tv-shows/">Google's YouTube to offer paid TV shows?</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com">BloggingStocks</a> on Wed, 02 Dec 2009 15:40:00 EST.
