We estimate that although most of the company's value comes from microprocessor business, about 14% can be attributed to graphics.</p>
<p>One of the recent wins in this regard was Apple's (<a href="http://www.dailyfinance.com/quotes/apple-inc/aapl/nas" class="inlinked">AAPL</a>) plan to use AMD's graphics cards in its Macbook Pro notebooks. What does this tell us about AMD?</p><p><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2011/03/12/amds-macbook-pro-inclusion-signals-upside-for-graphics-market-s/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>AMD's Macbook Pro Inclusion Signals Upside for Graphics Market Share</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2011/03/12/amds-macbook-pro-inclusion-signals-upside-for-graphics-market-s/">AMD's Macbook Pro Inclusion Signals Upside for Graphics Market Share</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com">BloggingStocks</a> on Sat, 12 Mar 2011 14:00:00 EST. This year and last the tech sector has had the greatest stars. One small tech company on the move is Nvidia (<a class="inlinked" href="http://www.dailyfinance.com/quotes/nvidia-corporation/nvda/nas">NVDA</a>). The company specializes in visual computing technologies.</p>
<p>Why give this company a second look? Apple's (<a href="http://www.dailyfinance.com/quotes/apple-inc/aapl/nas" class="inlinked">AAPL</a>) iPhone and iPad have changed the way we view the Internet. Now the iPhone and iTablet are using an increasingly large amount of graphic design. Nvidia is on the cutting edge of this new technology.</p><p><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2011/02/13/nvidia-a-company-on-the-move/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Nvidia: A Company on the Move</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2011/02/13/nvidia-a-company-on-the-move/">Nvidia: A Company on the Move</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com">BloggingStocks</a> on Sun, 13 Feb 2011 11:20:00 EST. A little company called Nvidia's (<a href="http://www.dailyfinance.com/quotes/nvidia-corporation/nvda/nas" class="inlinked">NVDA</a>) design won so far with its Tegra 2. Its shares are up almost 50% since December. Texas Instruments (<a href="http://www.dailyfinance.com/quotes/texas-instruments-incorporated/txn/nys" class="inlinked">TXN</a>) is also a player in tablet chip market with its OMAP5 processor.<br />
<br />
Now, Qualcomm <a href="http://www.dailyfinance.com/quotes/qualcomm-incorporated/qcom/nas" class="inlinked">QCOM</a>) is joining the fray with its new <a href="http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/02/10/us-qualcomm-idUSTRE7198L220110210">APQ 8060 dual core Snapdragon processor</a>. It allows for high definition and 3D video. Hewlett <a href="http://autos.aol.com/used-list/make1-Packard/" class="inlinked">Packard</a> is using it in its new "Touch Pad."<br />

However, neither company has signed a release of liability or dismissed any litigation between them. RMBS had earlier charged that NVDA has infringed on some of its chip patents. If you think that the stock won't fall by too much in the coming months, then now could be a good time to look at a bullish hedged trade on RMBS.<br />

(<a class="inlinked" href="http://www.dailyfinance.com/quotes/nvidia-corporation/nvda/nas">NVDA</a>) slumped to a new 52-week nadir of $8.65 right out of the gate Thursday morning, thanks to a little help from analysts at BMO Capital Markets. The brokerage firm trimmed its price target on NVDA from $10 to $9 and lowered its opinion of the semiconductor sector to underperform from market perform, citing the industry's bloated inventories for the negative note.</p>
<p>So, to put it bluntly, the stock isn't faring so well ahead of its earnings report. NDVA is expected to unveil a second-quarter profit of about 11 cents per share, up from its year-ago earnings of 7 cents per share. The company has a remarkably solid history in the earnings spotlight, having exceeded analysts' consensus profit estimates in each of the past four quarters.</p><p><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2010/08/12/nvidia-sinks-to-a-new-low-ahead-of-earnings/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>NVIDIA Sinks to a New Low Ahead of Earnings</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2010/08/12/nvidia-sinks-to-a-new-low-ahead-of-earnings/">NVIDIA Sinks to a New Low Ahead of Earnings</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com">BloggingStocks</a> on Thu, 12 Aug 2010 11:40:00 EST. (<a href="http://www.dailyfinance.com/quotes/nvidia-corporation/nvda/nas" class="inlinked">NVDA</a>) attracted a heavy dose of call activity. During the course of the session, roughly 61,000 calls changed hands on the stock, more than doubling the security's expected daily call volume of 23,000 contracts. Meanwhile, just 24,000 puts changed hands on NVDA last Friday.<br />
<br />
Data from the International Securities Exchange (ISE) confirms that calls were the options of choice. On Friday, traders on the ISE bought to open 8,795 calls on NVDA, compared to just 1,214 puts. The stock's single-day put/call volume ratio of 7.24 reveals a serious skew toward bullish bets over their bearish counterparts.<p><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2010/05/17/nvidia-bombarded-by-long-term-call-buyers/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>NVIDIA Bombarded by Long-Term Call Buyers</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2010/05/17/nvidia-bombarded-by-long-term-call-buyers/">NVIDIA Bombarded by Long-Term Call Buyers</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com">BloggingStocks</a> on Mon, 17 May 2010 13:30:00 EST.
