Anyone who was young in the 1970s or 1980s will remember Paul Stanley's wailing vocals as lead singer of the hard rock band KISS. While I'd rather forget the length of guitarist Gene Simmon's tongue, it was no less shocking to read that the Stanley is now peddling limited edition signed guitars at...of all places, Target Stores.
According to various reports, the promotion started November 26 and limited edition guitars are now on sale at Target Corporation (NYSE:TGT) stores nationwide. Would that make an interesting Christmas gift or what? I'd love to see the stocking this would fit into.
In addition to the signed guitars, each one will include a 27-minute audio interview with Paul Stanley, according to reports. Stanley's new solo album -- Live To Win -- was released on October 24 and sold just under 17,000 copies in the United States during its first week of release.
Now if only Wal-Mart gets Ozzy Osbourne to sign a couple of drum sets the holiday will be utterly complete for aging metal-heads. Happy bat-head-biting...er, holidays everyone.
