<p>Fasciocco is a technician and editor of <a href="http://www.tickertapedigest.com/ ">Ticker Tape Digest</a>, an advisory service that focuses on finding stocks that are breaking out from technical basing patterns. </p>
<p>He suggests, "Based in New Jersey, Virgin Mobile offers wireless subscribers a choice in wireless service and innovative products without annual contracts; annual revenues are $1.3 billion.</p>
<p>"The stock's long-term chart shows VM trading as high as 15. It was dragged lower during the bear market. However, the stock has made the turn and is now in an up trend supported by good earnings prospects. </p><p><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2009/09/14/virgin-mobile-usa-vm-a-wireless-breakout/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Virgin Mobile USA (VM): A wireless breakout?</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2009/09/14/virgin-mobile-usa-vm-a-wireless-breakout/">Virgin Mobile USA (VM): A wireless breakout?</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com">BloggingStocks</a> on Mon, 14 Sep 2009 14:00:00 EST. <p>In his <a href="http://www.thestockadvisors.com/ccount/click.php?id=3253 ">The Recovery Portfolio</a>, he explains, "This portends great things <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/verizon-communications-inc/vz/nys">Verizon Communications</a> (NYSE:<a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/verizon-communications-inc/vz/nys"> VZ</a>), which has the best wireless network in the U.S. <em>(For more on Verizon, see my recent post, <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2009/07/07/the-safest-dividend-in-the-dow/">The Safest Dividend in the Dow</a>.)</em></p>
<p>"Verizon provides wireline service to 35 million access lines and 87 million wireless customers. It recently picked up 13 million of these wireless subscribers upon completion of its $28 billion purchase of privately held Alltel in January. </p>
<p>"My investment thesis for Verizon is all about growth in its wireless operating segment. Smartphone penetration, which is more profitable for Verizon, is still small and growing very rapidly. </p><p><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2009/07/15/call-on-verizon-vz-for-smartphone-growth/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Call on Verizon (VZ) for smartphone growth</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2009/07/15/call-on-verizon-vz-for-smartphone-growth/">Call on Verizon (VZ) for smartphone growth</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com">BloggingStocks</a> on Wed, 15 Jul 2009 11:00:00 EST. <p>Here, the contributing editor of <a href="http://www.thestockadvisors.com/ccount/click.php?id=2977 ">Leeb's Income Performance Letter</a> explains why <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/atandt-inc/t/nys">AT&amp;T</a> (NYSE: <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/atandt-inc/t/nys">T</a>) and <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/verizon-communications-inc/vz/nys">Verizon</a> (NYSE: <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/verizon-communications-inc/vz/nys">VZ</a>) are poised to be the biggest beneficiaries among leading telecoms.</p>
<p>"Customers are increasingly seeking lower-cost services and delaying purchases of more costly equipment. But the companies are adapting, particularly through cost-cutting and strengthening their balance sheets by paying down and restructuring debt. </p>
<p>"AT&amp;T and Verizon, the telecom industry leaders, were the big spenders for rights to the powerful analog signals when the FCC auctioned off much of the freed-up spectrum in early 2008.</p><p><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2009/03/20/analog-spectrum-boosts-atandt-t-and-verizon-vz/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Analog spectrum boosts AT&amp;T (T) and Verizon (VZ)</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2009/03/20/analog-spectrum-boosts-atandt-t-and-verizon-vz/">Analog spectrum boosts AT&amp;T (T) and Verizon (VZ)</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com">BloggingStocks</a> on Fri, 20 Mar 2009 12:10:00 EST. In his specialized trading service, <a href="http://www.turnaroundtrader.com/visitor.php?offer=68">The Turnaround Trader</a>, he adds, "<a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/motorola-inc/mot/nys">Motorola</a> (NYSE: <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/motorola-inc/mot/nys">MOT</a>) is a fallen tech leader that may even rise in a bear market -- and has a chance to double or triple once the market turns around."</p>
<p>Skousen expplains, "Technology stocks appear to have bottomed and are moving higher. Motorola, the $8-billion mobile ohone manufacturer, is in the midst of a classic turnaround situation.</p>
<p>"It used to be the cell phone technology leader, having developed the world's first handheld cellular phone and technical standard for high-definition TV. Yet the stock has fallen nearly 70% from its lofty highs of $26 a share two years ago.</p><p><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2009/03/19/motorola-mot-classic-tech-turnaround/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Motorola (MOT) : 'Classic tech turnaround'</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2009/03/19/motorola-mot-classic-tech-turnaround/">Motorola (MOT) : 'Classic tech turnaround'</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com">BloggingStocks</a> on Thu, 19 Mar 2009 12:20:00 EST.
