<br />
Palm faces an over-saturated market thanks to Apple (<a target="_blank" href="http://www.dailyfinance.com/quotes/apple-inc/aapl/nas">AAPL</a>) and Research in Motion (<a target="_blank" href="http://www.dailyfinance.com/quotes/research-in-motion-limited/rimm/nas">RIMM</a>). It has lost market share hand over fist to its two more-successful rivals. Fundamentally, the company may not offer inferior products to its two rivals, but Palm's latest smartphone is widely considered a flop compared to RIMM's and Apple's offerings. I am not saying that Palm's products are worse than Apple's and RIMM's, but perception can become reality, especially on Palm's bottom line.<p><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2010/04/12/palm-looking-for-buyer/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Palm Looking for Buyer</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2010/04/12/palm-looking-for-buyer/">Palm Looking for Buyer</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com">BloggingStocks</a> on Mon, 12 Apr 2010 09:20:00 EST. It looks like the latter is true for Frank Quattrone, one of the most influential investment bankers in the 1990's who was also the head of the <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/credit-suisse-group/cs/nys">Credits Suisse</a> (NYSE: <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/credit-suisse-group/cs/nys">CS</a>) technology banking group. </p>
<p>Frank Quattrone <a href="http://prnewswire.com/cgi-bin/stories.pl?ACCT=104&amp;STORY=/www/story/03-18-2008/0004776144&amp;EDATE=">has just announced</a> that he and some former colleagues are launching a new financial services venture called Qatalyst Group. Qatalyst will be a technology-focused merchant banking boutique headquartered in San Francisco, CA. </p>
<p>Qatalyst Partners, its investment banking business, will provide high-end merger &amp; acquisition and corporate finance advice to technology companies. Its investing business, Qatalyst Capital Partners, will make selective principal investments, typically alongside leading venture capital and private equity firms. </p><p><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2008/03/18/frank-quattrone-is-back/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Frank Quattrone is back!</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2008/03/18/frank-quattrone-is-back/">Frank Quattrone is back!</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com">BloggingStocks</a> on Tue, 18 Mar 2008 15:10:00 EST.
