(RIG)</a></p><img hspace="4" vspace="4" align="right" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.bloggingstocks.com/media/2010/04/transocean-logo.jpg" alt="" />JPMorgan Thursday morning <a href="http://www.foxbusiness.com/story/markets/industries/energy/analyst-sees-emotion-transocean-dip/?utm_source=feedburner&amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;utm_campaign=Feed%3A+foxbusiness%2Fenergy+%28Text+-+Industries+-+Energy%29" target="_blank">rearranged its ratings</a> on four oil service companies -- a reflection of the broker's shift toward large-cap oil firms and away from offshore drillers. While JPMorgan upgraded Baker Hughes (<a href="http://www.dailyfinance.com/quotes/baker-hughes-incorporated/bhi/nys" target="_blank">BHI</a>) to overweight and Weatherford (<a href="http://www.dailyfinance.com/quotes/weatherford-international-ltd-switzerland/wft/nys" target="_blank">WFT</a>) to neutral, it cut Ensco (<a href="http://www.dailyfinance.com/quotes/ensco-international-plc/esv/nys" target="_blank">ESV</a>) to neutral and reiterated Transocean (<a href="http://www.dailyfinance.com/quotes/transocean-ltd-switzerland-common-stock/rig/nys" target="_blank">RIG</a>) at neutral.<br />
<br />
The brokerage's logic behind the BHI, WFT and ESV calls makes sense. But I am not too sure about the move on Transocean. Keeping in mind that Transocean is the owner of the Deepwater Horizon rig (leased to BP) that blew up and caused the massive oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, JPMorgan believes that Wednesday's 8% drop in the stock was based on emotion, saying the stock is a "moving target."<p><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2010/06/10/j-p-morgan-shifts-coverage-of-offshore-drillers/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>JPMorgan Shifts Coverage of Offshore Drillers</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2010/06/10/j-p-morgan-shifts-coverage-of-offshore-drillers/">JPMorgan Shifts Coverage of Offshore Drillers</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com">BloggingStocks</a> on Thu, 10 Jun 2010 10:00:00 EST. <h3>From <a href="http://www.thestreet.com/">TheStreet.com</a> Network</h3>

</ul>
</div>
<p><em>TheStreet.com's Jim Cramer says if the market made sense, you could buy retail and restaurants off the lower oil price.</em></p>
<p>Here's the pattern: We get shelled by oil. It drops to $76 or $77, all energy goes down, and it takes everything else with it. Some of tech has been spared lately because of 3Com (<a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/3com-corporation/coms/nas">COMS</a>) (<a href="http://find.thestreet.com/cgi-bin/texis/cramertake_free?site=tsc&amp;puc=aoljjc&amp;tkr=COMS">Cramer's Take</a>).</p>
<p>Then, in the following couple of days, oil stabilizes (but not after it hurts the oils again), rallies, and everything goes with it. </p>
<p>That's what's been occurring. I don't know why it's any different. In this moment in time, it's often best to buy the most hammered natural gas stocks because they come back fast. The best value is Devon (<a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/devon-energy-corporation/dvn/nys">DVN</a>) (<a href="http://find.thestreet.com/cgi-bin/texis/cramertake_free?site=tsc&amp;puc=aoljjc&amp;tkr=DVN">Cramer's Take</a>), but it simply isn't down enough. Apache (<a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/apache-corporation/apa/nys">APA</a>) (<a href="http://find.thestreet.com/cgi-bin/texis/cramertake_free?site=tsc&amp;puc=aoljjc&amp;tkr=APA">Cramer's Take</a>) would make sense below $60, which is still a ways from here.</p><p><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2009/11/13/cramer-on-bloggingstocks-recognize-the-ludicrous-pattern/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Cramer on BloggingStocks: Recognize the ludicrous pattern</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2009/11/13/cramer-on-bloggingstocks-recognize-the-ludicrous-pattern/">Cramer on BloggingStocks: Recognize the ludicrous pattern</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com">BloggingStocks</a> on Fri, 13 Nov 2009 10:40:00 EST. Lots of talk in lots of industries, but not much action. Here's a sampler...<br /><br /><strong><a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/jefferies-group-inc/jef/nys">JEFFERIES GROUP, INC.</a> (NYSE: <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/jefferies-group-inc/jef/nys">JEF</a>)</strong><br /><br />The investment bank may be a takeover target. MassMutual, or Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Co., may be the pursuer. Could make sense. Jefferies has lots of clients; MassMutual has big bucks. Back in the good old days of 2004 they actually worked together on a corporate lending venture. The two CEOs are buddies. We don't know if that's means fishin', huntin' or bridge. But buddies talk, don't they? Jefferies' stock is clearly on the rise.<br /><strong><br /><a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/weatherford-international-ltd/wft/nys">WEATHERFORD INTERNATIONAL LTD</a> (NYSE: <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/weatherford-international-ltd/wft/nys">WFT</a>)</strong><br /><br />Now that Halliburton Company (HAL) has finished up in Iran, and is done with KBR, word is that they have oil and gas equipment and services provider Weatherford in their sights. That can't be too hard seeing that they have a lot in common and both operate out of Houston. Weatherford's shares have been trading in the high 40s, up some, higher than the lows and lower than the highs of the last many weeks. Not much has happened in the last few days, but maybe it's because those good 'ol boys are deciding whose barbeque place to meet at.<br /><strong><br /><a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/usg-corporation/usg/nys">USG CORP.</a> (NYSE: <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/usg-corporation/usg/nys">USG</a>)</strong><br /><br />This one's been around for a while now, and it's worth noting that it's still around, and may be for a while longer. The stock seems poised for a breakout. Is Berkshire Hathaway's Warren Buffett about to make his move? "Yes, hello. I'm calling with a few questions for Mr. Buffett, please...yes, I'll wait..."<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2007/04/20/this-weeks-rumor-round-up-jefferies-may-be-a-takeover-target/">This week's rumor round-up: Jefferies may be a takeover target</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com">BloggingStocks</a> on Fri, 20 Apr 2007 12:00:00 EST.
