After all, HP lacked a cohesive mobile and tablet computer product line and strategy -- two areas that are red-hot in the consumer sector. Was this a smart move for HP?</p><p><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2010/05/12/hewlett-packard-committed-to-scaling-palm-purchase-enter-google/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Hewlett-Packard Committed to Scaling Palm Purchase: Enter Google</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2010/05/12/hewlett-packard-committed-to-scaling-palm-purchase-enter-google/">Hewlett-Packard Committed to Scaling Palm Purchase: Enter Google</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com">BloggingStocks</a> on Wed, 12 May 2010 16:30:00 EST. Without <a href="http://www.engadget.com/2010/03/19/palm-this-is-your-survival-guide/">following some sound advice</a> from non-CEOs, the company -- which at one point was the premier smartphone company -- may be headed to shutterville faster than 2012. If the company is even worth anything by then, nobody will want to acquire it and <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2010/03/20/deadbeat-stock-2-palm-palm/">investors in it will lose everything</a>. That is, unless a product launch on AT&amp;T (<a href="http://www.dailyfinance.com/quotes/atandt-inc/t/nys">T</a>) can save the company.</p><p><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2010/03/22/palms-last-stand-its-products-come-to-atandt/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Palm's Last Stand: Its Products Come to AT&amp;T</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2010/03/22/palms-last-stand-its-products-come-to-atandt/">Palm's Last Stand: Its Products Come to AT&amp;T</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com">BloggingStocks</a> on Mon, 22 Mar 2010 12:10:00 EST. Although the company's Treo handheld wireless handset products are being beat into the ground by competitors like <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/research-in-motion-limited/rimm/nas">Research in Motion Ltd.</a> (NASDAQ: <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/research-in-motion-limited/rimm/nas">RIMM</a>) and <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/apple-inc/aapl/nas">Apple, Inc.</a> (NASDAQ: <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/apple-inc/aapl/nas">AAPL</a>), its bargain basement Treo Centro helped save the day last quarter. Not so much in the latest quarter.<br /><br /> But good news is coming. The company (and a whole community of pre-release fans) is expecting the new Palm Pre smartphone to be the device that would save the company in the current quarter. The new handset, which is shaping up to be a true, functional competitor to the iPhone, looks like a handset worthy of that stated comparison.<p><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2009/03/20/palms-q3-loss-widens-all-hope-now-rests-on-the-pre/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Palm's Q3 loss widens; all hope now rests on the Pre</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2009/03/20/palms-q3-loss-widens-all-hope-now-rests-on-the-pre/">Palm's Q3 loss widens; all hope now rests on the Pre</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com">BloggingStocks</a> on Fri, 20 Mar 2009 09:50:00 EST.
