• FBR Capital upgraded Adobe Systems (ADBE) to outperform from market perform to reflect valuation following the recent pullback in shares, as well as the upcoming release of the company's CS5 product. The firm raised its price target for the stock to $39 from $36.
• Keefe Bruyette upgraded Zenith National (ZNT) to market perform from underperform following the company's merger agreement with Fairfax Financial. The firm thinks the offer is a strong price to receive for Zenith National shareholders.
• Kaufman Bros. upgraded Infosys (INFY) to buy from hold as it believes the offshore applications outsourcing market is picking up. The firm raised its target price for shares to $67 from $58.
• Ventas (VTR) was upgraded to buy from neutral at BofA/Merrill.
• Liz Claiborne (LIZ) was upgraded to buy from hold at KeyBanc.
• iStar Financial (SFI) was upgraded to hold from sell at Citigroup.

• Banc of America/Merrill upgraded Gymboree (NASDAQ:GYMB) to Buy from Underperform and raised their target to $33 from $15 following the company's Q1 comparable store sales guidance.
  
• Oppenheimer upgraded Lam Research (NASDAQ:LRCX) to Outperform from Perform after channel checks indicated the company's shipments are gaining momentum. The firm raised their price target on the stock to $35 from $20.
  
• Owens & Minor (NYSE:OMI) was raised to Outperform from Neutral at Credit Suisse. The firm upgraded shares but lowered their target to $45 from $46 citing underappreciated earnings growth and valuation.
• Albermarle (NYSE:ALB) was upgraded to Conviction Buy from Neutral at Goldman.
  
• Protective Life (NYSE:PL) was upgraded to Neutral from Sell at UBS.
  
• Maxim (NASDAQ:MXIM) was lifted to Buy from Hold at Canaccord.

• Accuray (NASDAQ: ARAY) was raised to Buy from Neutral at Piper Jaffray.

• JP Morgan downgraded Discovery Holdings (NASDAQ: DISCA) to Underweight from Neutral based on valuation and the deteriorating economic outlook.
• Friedman Billings downgraded shares of Janus Capital (NYSE: JNS) to Underperform from Market Perform and lowered its target to $7 from $23 as they see further risk to the downside following the company's weaker-than-expected results.
• LKQ Corp (NASDAQ: LKQX) was cut to Sector Perform from Outperform at RBC Capital.
• Affymetrix (NASDAQ: AFFX) was lowered to Sell from Hold at Deutsche Bank.
• RightNow Tech (NASDAQ: RNOW) was downgraded at Baird to Neutral from Outperform.
