The company also stated that the 787 Dreamliner is on-schedule. <br /><br /><a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/the-boeing-company/ba/nys?tabs=quotesandnews">Boeing</a> (NYSE: <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/the-boeing-company/ba/nys?tabs=quotesandnews">BA</a>) reported Q4 2007 EPS of $1.36 <a href="http://stocks.us.reuters.com/stocks/estimates.asp?symbol=ba">versus the Reuters consensus estimate of</a> $1.32. <p><strong>787 Dreamliner on track</strong></p>
<p>Equally important, Boeing said it was on track to meet its revised production schedule set earlier this month for its next-generation plane, the 787 Dreamliner. However, Boeing did not mention when power would be switched on in the first 787, or project a schedule for deliveries beyond stating that the first one would be delivered in early 2009. Boeing has secured more than 800 orders for the 787.</p><p><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2008/01/30/boeing-q4-earnings-up-5-1-says-787-dreamliner-is-on-track/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Boeing Q4 earnings up 5.1%, says 787 Dreamliner is on track</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2008/01/30/boeing-q4-earnings-up-5-1-says-787-dreamliner-is-on-track/">Boeing Q4 earnings up 5.1%, says 787 Dreamliner is on track</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com">BloggingStocks</a> on Wed, 30 Jan 2008 12:40:00 EST. That's diversity across a portfolio, and diversity within a company, and a good example of the latter is <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/honeywell-international-inc/hon/nys?tabs=quotesandnews">Honeywell International Inc.</a> (NYSE: <a href="http://finance.aol.com/quotes/honeywell-international-inc/hon/nys?tabs=quotesandnews">HON</a>).<br /><br />Thermostats and aircraft maintenance would seem like business lines at opposite ends of the spectrum, but they are at Honeywell's core, and they speak to the company's strength. <br /><br />Analysts like HON's aerospace division (36% of revenue), which manufactures cockpit controls, power generation equipment, and wheels/brakes for commercial/military aircraft. The division also makes jet engines for regional/business jet manufacturers. <br /><br />Further, analysts really like HON's automation/control division (35% of revenue), which makes home/office climate control equipment. Analysts see solid demand for HON's next-generation energy-efficient controls as businesses and homeowner re-emphasize energy efficiency, due to high energy prices. <a href="http://stocks.us.reuters.com/stocks/estimates.asp?symbol=hon">The Reuters F2007/F2008 EPS consensus estimates for</a> HON are $3.16 to $3.73.<br /><p><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2007/12/18/with-honeywell-everything-is-under-control/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>With Honeywell, everything is under control</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2007/12/18/with-honeywell-everything-is-under-control/">With Honeywell, everything is under control</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com">BloggingStocks</a> on Tue, 18 Dec 2007 19:30:00 EST. Earlier this year, Boeing delayed delivery of the 787 by six months to about December 2008, instead of May 2008, due to a parts shortage and also to complete additional work previously assigned to contractors, <a href="http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601103&amp;sid=acSHfl_zA9U0&amp;refer=us">Bloomberg News reported.</a> Boeing's shares were down 40 cents to $92.33 in Tuesday mid-day trading.<br /><br />Boeing has 762 orders for the 787, valued at about $120 billion. Analysts view an aerospace company's ability to deliver planes on time as critical to the company's future prospects, due to the high cost airlines incur for delayed planes. Delayed plane deliveries also discourage future plane orders, analysts generally agree. <br /><br /><object width="415" height="347"><param name="wmode" value="opaque" /><param name="movie" value="http://uncutvideo.aol.com/v6.310/en-US/uc_videoplayer.swf" /><param name="FlashVars" value="aID=1dce0c35e8d47f5402aff95efcbf5ce24&amp;site=http://uncutvideo.aol.com/"/><embed src="http://uncutvideo.aol.com/v6.310/en-US/uc_videoplayer.swf" wmode="opaque" FlashVars="aID=1dce0c35e8d47f5402aff95efcbf5ce24&amp;site=http://uncutvideo.aol.com/" width="415" height="347" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"></embed></object><br /><br />In addition to the 787's next-generation passenger amenities and substantially improved fuel efficiency, the plane also serves as a touch-point in the aerospace battle between Boeing and Airbus.<p><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2007/12/11/boeing-says-787-dreamliner-on-track-for-2008-delivery/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Boeing says 787 Dreamliner on track for 2008 delivery</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com/2007/12/11/boeing-says-787-dreamliner-on-track-for-2008-delivery/">Boeing says 787 Dreamliner on track for 2008 delivery</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.bloggingstocks.com">BloggingStocks</a> on Tue, 11 Dec 2007 13:56:00 EST.
