Family Dollar Stores overall option implied volatility of 25 is near its 26-week average of 27, according to Track Data, suggesting non-directional price movement.</p>
<p>Air Products (<a class="inlinked" href="http://www.dailyfinance.com/quotes/air-products-and-chemicals-inc/apd/nys">APD</a>) withdrew its offer to purchase Airgas (<a class="inlinked" href="http://www.dailyfinance.com/quotes/airgas-incorporated/arg/nys">ARG</a>). Airgas overall option implied volatility of 33 is above its 12-week average of 28, according to Track Data, suggesting larger price movement.</p>

The firm has a price target of $55 on the stock.</li>
    <li>Deutsche Bank upgraded ESCO Technologies (<a href="http://www.dailyfinance.com/quotes/esco-technologies-inc/ese/nys" class="inlinked">ESE</a>) to Buy from Hold on expectations the company will announce a contract with SoCal Gas within two months. The firm upped its target for shares to $35 from $33.</li>
    <li>Wells Fargo (<a href="http://www.dailyfinance.com/quotes/wells-fargo-and-company/wfc/nys">WFC</a>) was raised to Outperform from Market Perform at FBR Capital.</li>
    <li>Human Genome (<a href="http://www.dailyfinance.com/quotes/human-genome-sciences-incorporat/hgsi/nas" class="inlinked">HGSI</a>) was upgraded to Outperform from Neutral at Baird.</li>

We were down as much as 160 points and a buying spree came in rapidly. The 9.7% unemployment left more questions when you consider that the jobs creation lost another 20,000 jobs. Today's late-day rally seemed like bargain hunting at the end of the day or short sellers closing out of positions ahead of the weekend after big selling all week. The huge loss that it looked like was suddenly a day where the positive or negative close was not going to known until the final minutes.<br />

PX is scheduled to report Q4 EPS on January 28. PX February option implied volatility of 57 is above its 26-week average of 48, according to Track Data, suggesting larger price movement.</p>

ARG will release EPS on January 28. ARG February option implied volatility of 71 is above its 26-week average of 57, according to Track Data, suggesting larger price movement.</p>

<p>The firm surprised investors earlier in the week, when it reported fiscal Q4 EPS of 78 cents and revenues of $1.09 billion. Analysts had been looking for 73 cents and $1.07 billion. The CEO noted that strategic product categories (healthcare, research, environmental, food &amp; beverage) posted 11% organic growth in the quarter. The EPS figure was a company record.
