MOST NOTEWORTHY: Pericom, St. Jude Medical and CDC Corp were today's noteworthy initiations:
- B. Riley believes Pericom (NASDAQ: PSEM) is in the early stages of a product cycle-driven growth and feels shares are significantly undervalued at current levels. The firm started shares with a Buy rating and $18 target.
- Rodman & Renshaw started St. Jude Medical (NYSE: STJ) with a Market Outperform rating and $50 target. The firm is positive on St. Jude's recent investments in its CRM product portfolio and sales organization, which should increase competitiveness and facilitates continued market share gains.
- CDC Corp (NASDAQ: CHINA) was initiated at Cantor with a Buy rating and $6 target, as they believe the stock is significantly undervalued due to the complexity of the company's corporate structure and poor financial disclosure. The firm believes this gap will close after the company lists at least one of its subsidiaries this year.

MOST NOTEWORTHY: Apple (AAPL), large-cap semis, and CDC Corp (CHINA) were today's noteworthy initiations:
- Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) was initiated with a Buy rating and $160 target at Banc of America, as the firm still sees a significant amount of upside in the stock from Mac share gains, strong iPod unit growth, and the iPhone, which they believe is being underestimated.
- Caris believes investors should focus on companies with strong product cycles that are gaining market share. They resumed coverage of Intel (NASDAQ: INTC), Texas Instruments (NASDAQ: TXN) and National Semiconductor (NASDAQ: NSM) with Above Average ratings, and resumed Advanced Micro (NYSE: AMD) with a Sell rating; Caris started Intel with a $26 target, Texas Instruments with a $41 target, National Semi with a $29 target, and AMD with a $10 target.
- CDC Corp (NASDAQ: CHINA) was initiated at Piper Jaffray with an Outperform rating and $11.50 target.

- Citigroup initiated shares of Chipotle Mexican Grill with a Buy rating and $100 target, as the firm expects the company will see unit growth at a rate in the high-teens while experiencing above-average SSS and some margin expansion.

MOST NOTEWORTHY: CDC Corporation topped today's modest list of initiations:
- Shares of CDC Corp (NASDAQ:CHINA) were initiated by Oppenheimer with a Buy rating and $12 target, as the firm expects CDC to unlock shareholder value by spinning off its software and games business into separately traded companies in the first-half of 2007.
OTHER INITIATIONS:
- On2 Technologies (AMEX:ONT) was initiated with a Buy rating and $1.40 target at ThinkEquity, and the firm believes that On2 will capitalize on its continued success in Flash, also noting that Adobe Systems (NASDAQ:ADBE) licenses the company video codec in its Flash player 8.
- Soleil believes Middleby Corp (NASDAQ:MIDD) is positioned to benefit from switching to more energy-efficient models in restaurants from the current equipment, and has initiated the Illinois-based company with a Buy rating and $134 target.
- Deutsche Bank initiated GPC Biotech AG (NASDAQ:GPCB) with a Buy rating; they believe shares could double in a best-case scenario.
